I don't see any indication that Mr Grumpylilmoose is holding this little dog captive. He seems to be rightfully concerned about having to return the dog if it has a neglectful owner. He has had her a very short time and is watching for any signs of an owner. He has plenty of time to check into other sources. If someone is frantically looking for their dog they will be sending out very obvious signals. A truly concerned owner will be doing all the things that we know should be done to get the dog back.
Mr Grumpy! You mentioned that she likes to sleep on you so I wanted to mention that Yorkies have no undercoat like most other dogs do. They tend to get cold easily and will seek out body heat or other methods of getting warm because they can't retain heat as well as most animals do. I'm sure she loves you but she may also have some trouble staying warm. Many of us put fleece shirts or sweaters on our pups during colder weather. These little dogs are so close to the floor that they can get chilled easily. I know you don't like the idea of a purse but they do have some really cool clothing for dogs on ebay and etsy.
I never put clothing on an animal until Gracie. She is one of those heat seeking Yorkies. She actually loves her cool weather wear. |
