| When you get to the Vet you can have them scan her for a chip- if there is no chip I would keep her. Glad you made an apt- hopefully she gets a clean bill of health- sounds like she found a great home.

| Oh... and his nails were very long... and he was dirty, and he had a collar on that had grown too tight, and his hair had grown over his eyes to the point I don't know how he could see. But talk about a 'diamond in the rough', after professional grooming, premium dog food, and lots of love, he is a beautiful dog, inside and out. |

| It's amazing how these little ones will convert a non-believer - my hubby didn't want a "little" dog either - yea, well, we now have two. And no, my hubby does not carry either one around in a purse either. Can't wait to see pictures of her! Oh, and what are you going to name her?

You really should post flyers and an online add yourself anywhere you can to try to find the owner. The dog could have been staying with friends while the sick owner was hospitalized from an attack or surgery and the dog escaped or was stolen from its yard, then escaped from the thief. All ways for dogs to get away as you likely know if you have ever had a small dog. Someone's very heart could be breaking right now because their little sweetheart has been lost and they've been running ads in the paper or posting online on many sites - or they aren't computer literate. All kinds of things could happen to separate this dog from its rightful owner. Once you make a concerted, true effort to locate the rightful owner and have no takers, then you can know that you did all that you could and used the due diligence that you would hope someone who found one of your babies would use if they found one of your big dogs. If I were you I would have her scanned for a chip, call local shelters and Animal Control, local vets and post an add on Craigslist and anywhere else I could find to post. I know all of us Yorkie owners here would want a good effort by you to find any one of us if it were our dog you found. Nobody wants to think of someone finding their dog and saying well, we're scared and we looked a bit around and on Craigslist and she's ours now.

| From the pictures, judging from the silver on her head, she's young. Around 4 months. Personally, I think she'd look great in a purse Last edited by Amazing Yorkies; 03-07-2013 at 08:46 PM. |
