| It can take very little time for a dog to look unloved in the wilderness so please don't use that to judge whether you should find her owner or not. If one of your dogs got out wouldn't you want whoever sound them to try to find you? She maybe very loved and just happen to get out. Please try to find her owner. I would be devastated if Callie got out and the person that found her kept her and never looked for me.

| You might as well just name her Princess as that's what she'll be " Daddys little Princess" No need to try to fight it, my DH has a couple of little Princesses & he used to dislike little dogs too, now he prefers them to big dogs. |

| Haha sorry about double posting! She can jump higher than the bigger dogs! Blue heeler mix, 5 months and my sheltie 4 months. What gives with her bigger nipples if she's still so young? Does she look purebred, as her eyes are huge! |

| Yorkies are big dogs trapped in a small body. They are bossy and they do still have that rodent killing instinct. Mine kills her toys with the same vicious shake that you will see a terrier use to kill a rodent. I'm amazed her neck can swing so hard and fast. Your little find could have been on her own for a while. I understand your being afraid that some bad owner might want her back. But on the other hand if she had gotten away from someone and been on her own for a while she would look to be in pretty rough shape. I would not want to be in your position as far as wanting to do the right thing by her. Just keep watching various classified ads and flyers that people put up. Someone who really wants their dog back will not give up easily. Hopefully the vet can tell if she has had puppies. I do think she is mature. Any spay scar? Probably not if she has been in heat recently or had puppies. Hope she's not pregnant. Please read the "sticky" sections at the start of the various forums here at YT. You will find good information about Yorkies here. There is also a library. Because the Yorkie has become so popular some genetic weakness have been found in a lot of them. Just know what to watch for. Their teeth do tend to get bad easily and many have sensitive digestive systems. What your big dogs can eat may cause big problems in you little girl. I hope all goes well for you and this little one. And thank you for taking her in. What a find! By the way.....little dogs that are badly behaved are usually that way because the owner has not taken the time to train them properly. Something that often gets overlooked in small dogs. |

| Thank You for taking care of this Yorkie. Please make a real effort to find her parents. My dear friend had car wreck and had her dog in the car. Some one offered to take the dog because she was being transported to the hospital. They promised to call her daughter to come get her dog, they never did. That was 15 years ago and she still cries when we talk about Suzy !

I forgot you mentioned the big nipples, I'm not sure. The graying on the top of the head that appears in the pictures to be just starting is what I was judging the age. Usually as they get older the head will totally gray then turn to gold. I must admit too, that mine look like they've never had a bath after about an hour.. as friendly as she is, she's well socialized and may have had a great home and she just got away. Is she potty trained? That's usually the frustrating part of owning a Yorkie, so if she's potty trained, her family has taken time with her and had much patience. | |
