![]() I'm so sorry for what you have been through with the loss of your furry friend. It sounds like you did as much as you could to make his life better for the time you had him. I'm sure you made the right decision to have him put down. I agree that it is one of the hardest decisions we make in this life. It's been over two years now since I had my little guy of 15 years of age put down. My family kept telling me it was time but I could not do it myself. Two of my kids finally took him and stayed with him while it was done. I was never going to have another dog. He was just the perfect little guy and was so loyal and loving. I didn't want to go through training another puppy and it is difficult to find and older small dog around here. Well, after about 6 months of not having a dog in my life I stated to have that feeling of a missing space in my life. Eventually I admitted I missed having a dog and would go on a search for the perfect companion. It takes time to heal. I knew my old guy was reaching the end of his time but you are still in shock. It will get better but it takes time. You did everything you could for the little guy and he was blessed to have you has his person.

![]() I am very sorry for your loss. I can feel your lonliness and reading your words is bringing back the ache I felt when I went through a similar circumstance in the past. Stay strong. Figure out things you can do or change routine to help you get distracted fr missing your too much. I pray that you will soon stop feeling the pain of losing Cosmo.

![]() I am so sorry for your loss. My Jazzy's loss was a physical pain in my heart that was shocking to me...We knew that Jazzy did not have long she was 13 and in failing health so we decided to get another pup before she was gone. We immediately fell in love with the new little fellow we call Tucker but Jazzy left such a big hole in my heart we got another little girl named Lola. If I could convince my husband to get me another I would in a heart beat. Your own heart will tell you when you are ready for a new little one to come into your life. Take your time and grieve...hard to believe but time really does help.

![]() Sounds like Cosmo had a great life with you and your family. When we had to put our little Pippin to sleep at 13 y.o., it was the hardest thing we ever did, but it was for the best, just like the discission you made for your little pal. I think about my first Yorkie at least once a day and will never forget him, and that is what I'm sure it will be like for you and Cosmo. We have 2 Yorkies now and they dont replace him, but we love them just as much. ![]()

| ![]() I've been there too and am so sorry for your loss. Our toy poodle (my "first born" before the skin kids arrived) was 15 years old and was everything to me. It was a very hard decision to put him down but it was time (he had a stroke in the very end). I, like you, didn't like the idea of "replacing him" but knew that I had to have another furkid in my life soon. We got Tatum about 2 weeks after and everyone agreed that it was the best thing for us. Just don't think of it as replacing your baby.... that's not possible. Just make room for a new kind of love. Best of luck to you. And no, I didn't see the latest comments before posting. Sorry, I don't know anything about the Biewers and don't have any breeders around me that I know of. I do know they are very pretty. Good luck in your search.

They are absolutely beautiful. There is a breeder in VA too her name is Deb and her website is http://biewersbythebay.com/index.html. Good luck in your search.
