| ![]() All I can say is take him out more often...I think that's what Peanut is trying to tell you. lollll Momo lifts his leg when he pees, so I have a water bottle wrapped w/pee paper propped up on top of their pee pad against the wall in the bathroom. He always goes there, it's kinda like his 'post'.

| ![]() Nicky did this after me being positive he had gotten the "outside for potty" instructions. I narrowed down most of the reasons I think this happened...Some times it was something that scared him in the backyard, like the crazy winds we get up here (once it turn a large glass table upside down). Other times it was just too unbelievably cold outside, or he was sick. One time Nicky did the same your baby did; he looked at me, lifted his leg and did it right there. I said 'no, baby, no' and I carried him outside while he continued to wee-wee and leaving a trail behind. I realized that when he goes #2 outside, I make a party and I wasn't doing the same thing when he went #1. So I started to do an even bigger party when he went wee-wee as well. Now he goes out for potty even in the freezing rain ![]() ![]() I used the spray bottle on a neighbor's large doggie, once. He kept escaping the neighbor's house, coming over and wee-weeing on my two little ones in the face (Nini caught an eye infection). My other neighbor yelled at me not to do that, but I was already feeling like a monster after I done it...I don't know why ![]() ![]() I hope you find the way ![]()

Well Dh made a potty area for Pnut, he bought a semi large kennel and stuck it against on of our side doors and we keep the door open so he can go in and out- we thought this would work- lol for the most part it does, but he does still have accidents!

I have had simular situation.... cant help but wonder why they do it. A quick correction and right off to the appropriate potty area works well. As far as where to put him in a time out that can be hard. I do use my cage for time outs but only when they have not been too harshly reprimanded vocaly or they will like you say associate that area in a bad light. I have some useful tips on my site that might be helpful including the shaker can. Dawn's Yorkies / Yorkie Puppies / For Sale, Ohio

Ah thank you, I will check out your website! It is so frustrating to deal with, and I know a lot of it is my fault bc I am not good at disciplining him. We had some rain too a couple days ago- he will not go in the rain, nor if the ground is wet!! I think I just have to put my game face on and get serious!! No more Nice Mommy!! LoL. I am going to clean the floors, get a squirt bottle and can of pennies, and try to really watch him- take him out randomly every half hour and make sure he goes!! I will need to figure out where a good time out spot is.. I guess I can only use the time out when I catch him in the act.. right? If I come across pee it is too late? The crazy thing is if I am watching him like a hawk he will be sooooo good not one accident, but when I start lacking he has accidents. Then I think about it.. am I going to have to watch him like a hawk 24/7 or will he ever be 100% LOL That’s the million dollar question I guess.

I remember one time, he lifted his tiny leg & was going to pee by the corner of the bathroom entrance. I ran over saying 'No! No! bad boy' & w/out hesitating, I cupped my hand under & collected his pee!

Then DH bought a large dog kennel and stuck it against the door. We have like a French door and it has a door in the middle and then to little side doors, those just open with a screen . Dh used one side and cut the screen to make a little door so he can go in and out and be protected. He loves it- he has a little grass and little concrete, and he loves to lift his leg all over it! He was doing pretty good, till it rained the other day. I think that is what started this whole thing! DH needs to get like a tarp to put on it when it rains… So that’s where we are at. I know he knows that is where he goes, he knows how to get out ( when we are home the door is always open) I think he just gets lazy or something- Who really knows what goes on in these spoiled yorkies head!! Haha!

Beleive me that day will come . . It will take some time and a lot lot of training and being right on him every minute. I would not hesitate to put his little butt out there in the rain and wet ground. If not you are creating a bigger problem in the long run. I did with all four of mine. At this age when they are still learning guess where you will be? Right out in the rain with them. I just set up a patio umbrella right outside my door and always took a flashlight with me at night so I knew exactly where they were and if they went potty or poo. If they didn't go, they went right into the cage. Than out a few minuites later, even if I had to do it 2*3 times. Whatever it took to get them to go potty outdoors and not in my home. You may also want to read the part about the proper cage set up.

| ![]() He Peed Where ? I know ! It is like OMG Hello ! I am right here ! When Rubin lifted a leg and marked the stack of clean towels; I just forgot everything I teach, I stomped my foot and screeched at him, " RUBBBBBBBBBIN !! What the Heck is wrong with You ?!! Have you lost your mind ?!! He cringed and ran to his crate. The other dogs stopped playing. For a micro second they were in a primitive terror freeze. Just like ancient dogs of long ago used to freeze, when a saber tooth tiger roared at them. They blinked off the fearfull trance and ran to me, licking and jumping in a frenzy of doggy comfort. They were doing a canine version of "it's going to be ok, there, there, just calm down" . I felt so embarrassed, even if the Yorkies were the only witnesses, to see my moment of crazy. Rubin never marked clean towels again. Maybe he was traumatized. I just don't know. But, I do not advise you stomp a foot like it is on fire or scream like a bee stung banshie. My throat was sore for two days, not to mention my shattered illusion of self control. That was several years ago and this is the first time I have been brave enough to tell the whole, truth ... I hope you still respect me in the morning. ![]()
