I am going to clean the floors, get a squirt bottle and can of pennies, and try to really watch him- take him out randomly every half hour and make sure he goes!!
I will need to figure out where a good time out spot is.. I guess I can only use the time out when I catch him in the act.. right? If I come across pee it is too late? Right ..
The crazy thing is if I am watching him like a hawk he will be sooooo good not one accident, but when I start lacking he has accidents. Then I think about it.. am I going to have to watch him like a hawk 24/7 or will he ever be 100% LOL That’s the million dollar question I guess. |
You are welcome.
Beleive me that day will come . . It will take some time and a lot lot of training and being right on him every minute. I would not hesitate to put his little butt out there in the rain and wet ground. If not you are creating a bigger problem in the long run. I did with all four of mine. At this age when they are still learning guess where you will be? Right out in the rain with them. I just set up a patio umbrella right outside my door and always took a flashlight with me at night so I knew exactly where they were and if they went potty or poo. If they didn't go, they went right into the cage. Than out a few minuites later, even if I had to do it 2*3 times. Whatever it took to get them to go potty outdoors and not in my home.
