| In process of buying a female Yorkie from this breeder Junoline, I am in the process of buying a female Yorkie from her also. I gave her a deposit on 2-22-11. She said I could pick her up on 3-19. When i called her today to see if I could pick her up on Friday 3-18 as were would be traveling to riverside and back to blythe, in order to save a trip over on Sat. 3-19. She hemmed and hawed, wouldn't give me a straight answer. Please email me, i will give you my phone number and maybe we can find someway to get our money back. She was also a little cagey when I gave her the money on the 22nd. She wouldn't look me in the face. She kept looking down. Did you see the mommy? i knew I should have followed my gut feeling and backed out. Please contact me. |

| I am a first time yorkie owner and I got my girl out of the paper. I talked to the lady we bought her from prior to buying her. Even added her to my facebook, saw pictures of Mom & Dad who is listed on her APRI registered certificate. Minnie is pure bred, and looks nothing like your pup. She looks like every YT on here excluding the Parti YT. I personally do not believe that your pup is pure bred. I am sorry that you got ripped off. Only thing you can do is love the pup and if you want to take her to small claims court you can. Hugs. |

| I dont want to speak prematurely, but we did receive a money order for a refund in full from Crystal's husband. I haven't cashed it yet though. He seemed like he wanted to settle and the mo looks real and all. Yes, we still have Nibbler. I didn't end up having to go to court. |

| Wow, honestly I'm surprised they refunded the full amount and let you keep your dog...maybe because they knew they had committed fraud in the first place...I expected to hear you got to keep your pup and like half refunded at best. Good deal I guess...beyond belief, one point for the right thing finally being done and good for them for refunding you in full over it..suppose in all reality the pup is completely worthless to them and considering the breeding would be a "free to good home" situation...but I'm really kind of surprised about the whole outcome. I am glad you are keeping Nibbler! Sorry you have had to endure this. When we don't get the dog we wanted it is such a mixed blessing situation. Of course you bond with them and want the best for them, but they are not the dog you had decided upon and in many cases a person really cannot manage getting yet another dog (space, housing regs, vet bills, etc.), so this prevents getting the desired breed for many years. I know any dog is loved and becomes part of the family but many of us have had the dream of owning a Yorkie for years and to have that put out of reach is so unfair. I still do not think there is any excuse for this situation. The puppy is so obviously NOT a purebred yorkie, no breeder should sell it that way. She HAD TO KNOW! No one is that oblivious! And if she is, she has no business breeding. A breeder has a responsibility to be knowledgable about the breed! Nowhere in her posts did I read that she would remove the two dogs from her breeding program or even DNA check them and her other breeding dogs. She says she gets "reasonably priced" dogs, sells them for low prices ($300 - $400) and still makes a profit. As Gemy so eloquently wrote, that is just IMPOSSIBLE if you are taking the right precautions in breeding, to include all pre-mating health tests. This breeder also made a comment about breeding pets instead of show dogs. Seriously, all breeders should be breeding to the standard! You make sure both sire and dam are within breed standard and then some of the pups might not be show quality but they are at least close to standard! There is no breeding for pets vs breeding for show. If the dam and sire are not close enough to standard to show, they should not be bred. I would say anyone selling yorkies for less than $900 sends a red flag. On further investigation, you might find they are doing the right things and selling good puppies from good parents. But....it should at least send up a red flag to be further investigated. Always google the breeder and do some due diligence on her sales history and reputation. I would not let one sour post spoil a breeder, but when she is no longer allowed to show 2 different breeds with AKC and there are numerous complaints online easily found in a google search, that pretty well sends enough red flags to turn me the other way. I made the same mistake first time around so in no way am I saying anything against any buyers! We tend to trust the breeders, especially ones that have been in business a long time. But I have learned the hard way too. My very first "yorkie" was a cute curly haired muppet that had several deviations from standard. I spayed her and loved her madly but she was really not what I had wanted for so long. Next time around, I really looked long and hard. Made myself NOT take the first adorable puppy I saw, even made myself NOT go look until I was satisfied with what I found about the breeder. Don't trust blindly -- do research and make sure! Helping spread the word with your thread is good for all! Thanks for sharing your painful experiences in this thread. It makes for a very good learning tool.

| RE: Crystal Hardacker This woman is a piece of work. She moves from California to Colorado to Washington to Oregon. There's no telling how many people she has scammed. I got most of my deposit back. She sent it thru PayPal and charged me the fee. I have been reporting her all over the websites that she has her ads posted on. Thanks Junoline, I hope you find a puppy soon. Anastacea, enjoy your puppy is adorable. Glad you got your money back also. |

| I also have been given a refund, without conformation of breed type. So, there is a chance that she is a mix of something else. He said possibly Silky or something like it. The sample from Macy is currently being processes, I will know in the next couple weeks! |

| Following this and had to join. This lady is just one of millions of dumb backyard hobby breeders that have no clue what lines they are breeding!!! PEOPLE DO NOT BUY CHEAP YORKIES FORM PUPPY FIND OR NEWPAPER ADS!!!! Go to a dog show and meet breeders that know there lines and breed for standards. They will cost much more, but you get what you pay for. I am shocked also this lady actually refunds deposits and gives money back and lets keep puppies. Lots of these breeders once they have your money it is impossible to even get ahold of them ever again. I have been to court over this after buying mix that was sold as pure from another breeder, and puppy is considered merchindise and you will get puppy or money back, never both. |

| Define BYB...she is also breeding AKC registered dogs, CKC registered on these, has previously been both a show dog owner, handler and breeder associated with the AKC-it is my understanding from reading some tings online-she was banned from showing by the AKC, and was suspended from registering litters with them due to multiple infractions-whatever that means but I read one of them was attempting to show mix breed dogs. Google her... Quote:
