| Just one thing...when you do add an animal to the family don't be surprised if you spend the first few days wondering if you've done the right thing. That's perfectly natural as it is a nerve wracking thing to do as it's changing the dynamics of the family. I've always had that feeling but it has never failed once and we've had a heck of a lot of animals over the years.

| I do have some feelings of 'should i' or 'shouldn't i' but i'm fairly certain Cooper will be fine (at least after some time). The photos of multiple animals together just make me want to adopt another pet that much faster.

And you'll have the 'should I? Shouldn't I?' debate with yourself right until you've done it, lol. But you will do it and, after the first few days thinking 'what have I done?!' you'll be really glad you did it. Dogs are pack animals after all.

| I'm so glad you spoke with Robin. She is an amazing lady who works tirelessly for YHR.

Also, what's really ironic is that she called my vet while i was there. Cooper had something of an emergency appointment. While I was meeting with the vet I was interrupted because the said that Yorkie Haven Rescue was on the phone and should they release information. What are the chances??

| Yorkie Haven Rescue called and they may have a sweet little 6 month old girl available soon. However, my partner wants to wait until the end of the summer before adoption. I'm ready yesterday. What do you think of the photos? She's cute huh with that huge tongue LOL! She's 6 months and about 5.5 pounds. How big do you think she will get?

| Well, Karen, I have 5 and would have more if i could. I will never just have an only dog. They are sooooooooooooo much happier having playmates. I definitely think you need another one! You are going to have soooooooooooooo much fun dressing up a little girl!!Rescues are great and also retired breeders. If you need help, i have bunches of breeder friends and I love shopping for furbabies! |

| She is cute...looks like a yorkie mix to me. If you don't know much about her background or where she came from, she could get a lot bigger. None of mine stopped growing until they were about 18 months old. Whichever one you decide on, just remember to do everything for Cooper first...feed, pet, groom, kiss, greet, give treats, pick up...everything first so that he doesn't think he is being replaced. That will probably last about a month and then it won't be so important but it will make a difference when you first bring a new furbaby home. It will also establish where he is in your pack. I am sooo excited for you girl! You will love having another furkid!! Get out the Victoria Secret so that your partner will let you get one NOW!! |

| Yorkie Yakker | I just got a new baby girl. My boy, Doobie, is very spoiled and loves attention! He did NOT react very well to MJ's arrival! It's been a month and he is now adjusting. Think of it as adding a new baby to the family. The existing child will be curious but at the same time jealous! Doobie did not pay any attention to MJ the first two weeks. Around the third week, he started coming around a bit. He would sniff her and when she tried playing with him, he'd give a bit of attention but then jumped up on the couch minutes later ... now, they play together for about 20 minutes 3 times a day! She is growing on him and he is realizing he is still loved very much. Worst of all is that MJ is hypoglycemic and required alot of attention so Doobie didnt get as much attention as Iwould have liked to give him but now she is doing much better and he has all the attention back Hope this helps you!! |
