He's not chipped..... What have i got my self into!! jk |
He's a cutie, Christinee. And you know he will be well taken care of while you are searching for his owner. I'm so glad you were able to do that for him. |
That was so nice of you, Christine. There is no one with more empathy for what the owners must be going through than you. He is a darling little guy, isn't he? I wish he were Benjamin, but at least this guy is in good hands. We are still hopeful Benjamin will be home soon. |

Dog stealing is very lucrative for people looking to make quick easy money. The main people doing this are meth heads, they either get them for free from craigslist or cheap, and from other places, and then they turn around and sell them. It is a VERY FAST turn around. That girl you got this dog from probably did not just happen to find the dog. She was looking for that reward and when you offered her the 40.00, heck ya.. drugs for the night...I just have no faith in mankind these days. You are a good person, but if it were me and I was trying to find my dog.. I would place an ad about this dog and watch lost ads and whoever comes forward make them prove the dog is theirs by describing it, look for something particular about him, or his personality that can't be guessed. Do NOT let anyone in your home, this is just too dangerous now days. Especially dealing with people from CL.. I am sure you have heard of the man up here being killed by some people from CL coming to look at a ring he had for sale?? There have been 3 other home invasions here from CL ads. While you are looking for Benjamin you can keep an eye out for anyone else looking for their yorkie. That dog looks yorkie (not silky) to me. And hopefully, most likely, someone has your dog and is loving him and caring for him like you are this dog.;) |

So Christinee I know at times it has been very hard for you to continue to post here, but you still came back and updated us of everything you are doing to find your Benjamin. Keep positive and keep looking for him because I'm sure where ever he maybe he is looking for you too in every female voice he hears or car that passes or child he hears. I wish you the best of luck in finding him soon. :animal-pa |

To the OPer please take a look at this information if you haven't already done so. There is a world on information and links on this site to even help you to find your little guy. There are lists of phone number to shelters all over the country. They have suggestions on how to make a really good weatherproof sign and even how to hang then so they are very visible. You should also check out how they suggest to make you car a moving billboard :) |

Thanks for all the advice about craigslist.. And I was cracking up when I read the one comment about quick drug money for the night. LoL.... Ya i am being descrete in my CL postine about my little rescue friend. He has a hilarious (but distinctive) bark that would seal the deal. LoL.. I called the shelter and they said I need to go down ajd register him at the shelter. I can't do it online or over the phone. Uggg!! Like I really want to go there again. Oh well. I may not be able to make it today, but I will be down there for sure tomorrow if today doesn't work out. I have a feeling he lives within blocks of me. |

Thank you for the info I did take a look at the links. And there is great information. It's just been a long long 3 weeks and I have been doing everything I can to figure a way to get my baby back safe and sound. I have already used many of the suggestions that are offered in the sites you posted. But, I did learn a couple other tricks I didn't know about before from those links that I will throw into my hunt, so thank you. Every bit of help is very much appreciated and needed. :) |
Thank you for the sweet words. It means alot. I will continue to search. I just got back from Target as a matter of fact, because I bought more poster boards and supplies to make my search a little bit louder, since my budget is a little more apt to it now. I dont' think I could have kept going if it werent' for me being able to come here and tell all of you about it. Seriously. It has kept "my eye on the ball" and made me stronger and even more determined. I'm going to find him or see him or find out something about him or somewhere down the line. I feel that I will. He's somewhere out there and he's mine. If it's yours it will come back........ isn't that what they say. ?? |

Also for making a rolling on wheel billboard from your car right down to the best type of paint to use that will last the longest. I guess the saddest part about the dogs that are lost is the xenophobic behavior that make people think they have been neglected and then they take it upon themselves to rehome. This is personally very scary to me since one of mine is just that way. I so hope that you are able to find this little guys owners and the you find Benjamin very soon too. :( |
