Christine, I would advise you to check all the shelters in your area, even in different counties. Here in GA, I found a husky on a very busy road, in fact, I was hoping it was a coyote, but she had blue eyes. After a dump truck passed going the opposite direction, at 55+ mph, I turned around and got her. This was in Cherokee County, so I took her to the animal shelter for that county. They wouldn't take her from me because I live in Forsyth County. They asked for my drivers license before accepting the dog. I was floored! The owners would likely not think to look in the Forsyth shelter for their dog. I did get them to take my information to give anyone looking for a husky, but I never heard anything. I checked the papers, and went back to the area I found her looking for signs, but no luck. I did tell everyone I knew about her and a friend of a friend adopted her from the Forsyth shelter.
Anyway, a commuter or someone from another municipality could have picked him up.

That is the same one i went and seen. He's in Downey. Did you say there was one in LB??

I would def. be on alert with the Shelters, as he could still be on the loose and someone could find him and turn him in. Since he has no chip, you will have to keep checking the shelters (forever).

Also, I would check into one of those services that calls all the people in your zipcode. I don't know how much it is, but maybe it is a reasonable amount :confused: This way if someone did pick him up in your area, they will get the phone call and hopefully they will do the right thing :(

But I am wasting too much time explaining when I should be using that time to find who's important here - Benjamin. He's counting on me. :(
I'm going to say sorry for all the negativity you have been getting . I can't imagine what a nightmare you are going through and then having a bunch of crap tossed at you at the worse moment in your life . Don't worry about every detail hell I would be lucky if I could put two words together .

That being said I wish all the best for your furbabies return

Please hang in there, he might surface any day. If someone has him and sees you persistence, they might have a change of heart about keeping him.
