Christinee...I am losing my nerve here with these people!!! what is wrong with them?!?! Why dont you ask someone else in your family to try and phone this guy and see if he answers because he is probably seeing your number come up and is being a total A-HOLE!!!!! the least he could do is let you come and look. This little girl obviously phoned you out of her own initiative. So pull out your cunning side here and get through to him! even if it isnt your dog rather you know than not! Dogs can travel long distances when running and scared. and maybe he looks black from dirt...or this man is colour blind (stranger things do happen!)...or he wants to keep the dog... did the little girl not say where she lived? Oh if i didnt live on the other side of the world i would be right out there with you looking! i say your best bet is to get someone else to phone - or trace the number. there are programs out there that trace people. I work with one in South Africa that traces every last detail of an individual. Why can these people who see him all the time just not stop their car and try and catch him instead of phoning and sending you on a wild goose chase across the city??? I believe he is still out there...either that or there are a few lost Yorkies in your neighbourhood...keep looking PLEASE and dont give up hope. You are still in my thoughts and prayers through this terrible ordeal |
I would have someone else call and pose as the owner of the missing dog and set up the meeting. They don't need to know or think that you have anything to do with it. |

When she gets here i can use her phonw. Dont know why I didn't think of that. It was probably a prank call anyway. The "dad" didn't even sound like a man. Sounded like i may have been a younger boy trying to sound like a man. I was talking with a friend lastnight and he made a good point. He thinks that there's no way Benjamin is still wandering the streets. He says if he was he would no be alive still. Its been so cold at night and hot during the day. He would have eitther starved, dehydrated or froze to death. I cannot see him lasting long during these nights. I also cannot see this many people seeing him on the streets and not picking him up. He's so friendly and cute and small, someone would pick him up. I was told that %80 of all animal sitings when your searching for your lost pet will not even be your pet. |
Christine are you near the Downey Shelter? I don't know your area at all. They picked up a male yorkie yesterday, but I don't think he looks like Benjamin. :( http://www.pets911.com/services/lost...page=#]Pets911 - Find lost pets, lost dogs, lost cats Please take a look. |
Yes. I am very close to downey. Actually downey is the shelter is the pound i went to yesterday. Shoot looks like i'll be going back. You can never tell in photos. the ear thing on him is strange looking. I know benjamin had one floppy ear sometimes. but he's so timid when it comes to pictures. its hard to see him standing so straight for that pic? I'll check today. |
its says yorkshire terrier mix?? |
Let's also keep in mind that if he was indeed stolen, his fur may have been altered. If the people that stole him became scared, they could have shaved him. It's worth a shot. |

I'll check just incase. I hate seeing those dogs in there. They all look so scared. :( |
Are you far from Orange County Animal Care Center? They have a male Yorkie there. I'm going to keep looking, but it's hard not knowing your area. http://petadoption.ocpetinfo.com/ani...d&orderBy2=asc |

http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...st-yorkie.html You can use it as a check list of all of the things that have been done or not done to look for him. As for rescues, I would suggest that you contact YTNR via email and let them know you have a missing Yorkie and where you are located. They have a lot of members in the SoCal area and I'm sure they have email contacts to all of them. Rescue are constantly aware of lost dogs all over the country and we get notice of this type of thing all the time. ytnr@yorkierescue.com |
If you got to pet finder there is page after page of yorkies up for adoption Several I noticed in PA area . These babies need help there are a few in there that have been rescued from a mill |
She is looking for HER dog not a NEW dog. I check in daily to see your progress. I know you must be on a roller coaster of emotions overtime you hear about a siting. I always hope for the best and think to myself that little booger is on the lose chasing tail... But then I think how scared he must really be and how heart broken you have to be. At the start of this I was very upset someone might take a yorkie. Then I thought how bad it would be for him to be out in the cold and darting in and out of traffic. I really pray that someone has found him and just haven't come across your flyers yet. I hope they cuddle with him and keep him safe and treat him nice. I also hope that when they do come across your flyer they don't hesitate to call you and tell you what a joy it was to spend a few days with your wonderful baby and bring him right to you. Keep in mind that even on the dark days there are people here that will listen and support you. |
