| I agree with this also.. It is a natural thing so we should not be soo against it but if I see Samy want to do this i would stop him right away (and I have stopped him already once).. I am sure the female would not be impressed with this behaviour..

| This is funny.. I am happy people keep their great sense of humour in threads like this one (even though this thread isn't too out of control yet).

I did not intend to "insult" you, and great about your education..I happen to have one as well but thats for another thread. I actually like you, I have told you that before. But you take things to personally and often in a way no intended. Desire does not remain after castration, why else would they do it to sex offenders then? And yes there has been several who have opted to have it done as condition of parole. A sex offender, wont be able to get it up and he will not have the sex drive, no hormones... Does it mean they wont think about wanting to do something, nope it wont.. but it will keep him from doing it. And it does work, my sister in law works for dept. of corrections and says it does stop the behaviors. Also, sex crimes are not about sex anyhow...

![]() This particular instance was not a case where the male and female lived together--they were allowed to "meet up." So it's a situation that could have easily been prevented. Last edited by BamaFan121s; 04-22-2010 at 04:43 AM.

![]() I have to agree with Misty (bama) - from what I read this was inentional - and I would think in most cases a neutered pet would most likely not 'do the deed' but encouraging it is a different story..... I understand how some can feel certain things would 'calm' a puppy down - but this isn't one of them IMO

| Ok buys....let me throw in a bit of a curve here. I babysit for a 2 year old boy (nuetered). My girlfriend has a 2 year old girl (nuetered). When they are together, their number one priority is to mate. She flags him, he attempts to mount her. While they are the best of buddies and are very taken to each other, for the most part just love playing together. But, they are never left alone together. Not all spay/nuetered dogs act in this manners, so it is unncessary to keep boys and girls seperate at all times...just be cautious and alert as you are all the time with your dogs. Let me touch on the breeder aspect of this. If ever AKC inspects your home, they will ask you for several things, your records, check your dogs. But, a trick question they ask is. How do you breed your dogs. They frown at answers such as: we put them in an x-pen together, or room, or crate. Knowing the ramifications of that, they know the importance of a supervised, hands-on, assistted breeding.

| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I have never seen my neutered boys do this. I had them neutered at 5 1/2 months. They don't even hump my girls. I have caught them trying a toy out. (and that was months ago) hehe But, I guess every dog is different. Good thing to know. |
