That's not what anyone is saying at all. But if it's crystal clear what their intentions are, then separate them for the time being. Take precautions when you can and be aware of the possible consequences.
This particular instance was not a case where the male and female lived together--they were allowed to "meet up." So it's a situation that could have easily been prevented.
