| I have them and they work good but I will tell you from experience that the dogs will not always use them.... sometimes they just jump off the bed without them... luckily mine CAN jump off without getting hurt and the stairs are just to relieve impact on the joints... so a few times wont kill them. I personally wouldnt use them if the dog couldnt get down on their own.

| My little 3# Bella uses them all the time...she is not a jumper so I am comfortable with them. I had to show her how to go up and down the steps but now she just zips up and down.

| I'm glad to hear that your baby took to them so quickly! It took Betty Boop a little longer to get used to hers. She is now 5 lbs, but we got the steps when she was around 3 lbs. I got them for the couch and a 4-step for the bed. It's fun to watch her run up and down the one by the bed, but when she is playing and moving fast, she mis-steps and I'm afraid she is going to hurt herself. I have to watch her like a hawk! When she runs down the 4-step, she skips the bottom two steps and heads straight for the floor. She uses the small ones by the couches just fine. I'm thinking of lowering the bed so we don't need any steps at all.

| Whoa before you return them I would ask the size of her dogs...My bigger dogs will jump but Bella will not.. Does your little one try to jump off the couch or the bed? I think it is safer they have a way up and a way down..

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have always used steps and ramps and trained them from day one to use them. They always use them even when excited and in a rush to get down they all 4 just run right down in a row. The senior yorkie I recently took in is a jumper and even at 13-15 years can get up and down off of anything. He started using the steps and ramp after seeing mine use it but he does still jump off furniture now and then.

| I opted for ottomans instead of the plastic-lightweight stair steps. They're much more stable - and the one large step between the floor and furniture is perfect. Not to mention - it looks much better! I have a black leather-look ottoman that I bought at Pottery Barn in the family room and another one in our bedroom. Good luck!

| Teddi doesn't do well with stairs AT ALL! She is perfectly fine going up but going down any stairs she only gets down about 2 or 3 and then starts stumbling because she doesn't have enough weight in the back. I guess her head and front legs weigh more than the back. I have found it's just easier to pick her up when we are going up stairs and pick her up and put her on my bed. She is a good jumper though and she can get on and off the couch herself with no problems.

| I have always used steps and ramps for my babies. all three of mine. 2lb. 4lb. 12 lb all use them even though they are all great jumpers. I dont want them constantly jumping down that's too much on their little legs and knees. I love them. Now there is one danger to them and Ill tell you about it. you must always make sure they are always up against the furniture. My friends 2 yr old Yorkie always used steps by the bed. one morning when she the owner went to turn the light on to get ready for work, her Yorkie just as he always did started to go down the steps. only this time they was not against the bed and he went between the step and bed and broke his neck. so be very careful and check them often to make sure they are up against the furniture. |

| I have the steps from Petco and as long as they are on carpet they are fine. We have laminate floors and I make sure that I have a throw rug otherwise they slide.

| I have always had those steps for my 2 as well. They were taught to use them from the beginning - and they do. I have two sets put together so that they reach our bed. I have at least one set (and sometimes two) at every couch, loveseat, bed or bench at our house. One tip - I put pillows everywhere I thought they may want to jump off of when my 2 were little. We have tile floors and I didn't want them to jar their joints.

| We have a set of steps for Sofia to get in and out of the our bed, (sorry her bed) It is made of wood and covered in carpet, its 5 steps high, each step is about 4 inches tall. She is very small under 3lbs full grown. We got them so she would not even try to jump. They are great, she knows where they are and has no problem with them at all. |
