| Help Bella won't wear her bells.... Bella will not stop licking and fidgeting with her bell and name tag. As soon as I put the collar on her she goes to work, I am afraid that she will swallow it so I keep taking it off. I just spent what seemed like an eternity looking all through the house for her because she didn't have her collar on, she is just about 7 months old and every thing is a game for her. Any suggestions

| It is very very dangerous for her to even be wearing a collar.. I would not put it on her at all.... expecially since she is a puppy... there are many threads pertaining to the little ones getting them stuck in thier mouth or caught on something..Id use a harness and maybe clip the bell to that behind her head where it clips... Please be very careful...

| I NEVER use anything but a harness for leashing any of my dogs. Please don't worry. I only use the collar for the jingle but I think I will head off to Petsmart and try to find something to hold the bell behind her. Good suggestion, thank you.

I use a breakaway cat collar. Just in case. $3 at walmart and it comes with a bell. I can't stand to not hear where Uni is. Even though she doesn't get into stuff anymore, it's better that she's not always in stealth mode. Esp for the customers in my shop to "hear" there is something coming to them. Some of them hear her, see the toys all over the place and still get shocked when she goes up to them. But that's another story entirely. Meanwhile, make sure no charms on her collar, absolutely no rhinestones that can come loose. Only good quality stuff that won't break if she chews it.

| I would try getting her used to the collar without the tags/bell first. Once she is used to wearing the collar(after a few days), then add the bell/tag. Both my little ones wear collars with bells, and their id tag at all times, I remember that I had the same problem at first, and this is how I solved it. Good Luck! |
