I only have one card left up my sleeve for possibly finding him. I'm waiting for my 'helper' many miles south of Gen to come up with some needed info. I haven't given up yet and am really disappointed that the efforts so far hasn't brought him home. I think we're dealing with a heartless beast of a girl who has him and I wouldn't hesitate to charge her with grand theft if and when it comes down to it.

Gen is trying to get on with things but the rest of us can watch the craigslist carefully for her. You never know....

I really really hope things come along. I think of Cookie every single day. And try and check in on this thread every day. that heartless B&%^& better be caught, brought to justice, and pay for it through the nose.

Gosh, it sounds like you know something we don't. I hope you are right. I am very curious. If you feel so inclined, please PM me and let me know your suspicions. I am just very nosy:), and I have been following Gen's story from the beginning.

This weekend Cookie was on my mind. I came home to a sweet little miniature poodle on my car port. He was very friendly and came right to me.
I picked him up and inspected his collar. There were no tags, unfortunately.
As it was getting dark, I was sure that someone would be looking for him, so I put him in our play room and drove around the neighborhood looking for people who might be looking for a dog. I figured someone would be out with flashlights, frantically calling, like I was when Zacchie was "lost."
But I didn't see anyone looking for him.
I broadened my search.
Still nothing.
I went door to door.
Nothing.
At one neighbor's suggestion, I went home to make a sign to post in a nearby convenience store and began writing an ad for craigslist.
Just then, my daughter suggested that he looked a little like someone's dog she knew, but when she had last seen him, he wasn't groomed as neatly.
I called.
They were out of town, but said they'd check in with their house sitter.
The sitter had let him out, thinking that he wouldn't go anywhere, and he just disappeared.
Sure enough, I had their little Max.
And now Max is back home.
Wishing for Cookie to be brought back to his home, too.

Oh my goodness!!:eek: Are you kidding me?? Why would she let the dog out? Wow are they lucky you came along. That poor little baby would have been lost forever. I just don't get people sometimes.

You did a very nice thing for that family and that baby.

Reesiesdad is an angel sent to help Gen. Angels can be found in people and he has helped Gen very early on.

I still truly believe that Cookie will be home where he belongs.

I truly feel your pain. My girl was taken durring a robbery at my home in Sarasota. It has been almost 2 months for me. I am here any time you need. I go through different emotions every day. You can get my phone number on craigslist (Sarasota FL) under lost and found. Look up Yorkie in all catagories. I have probably 20 postings. Open one of my posts and my number is there. My 7 yr old asked me today if Cookie has been found yet, so I thought that I'd pop by and check (hoping that he was having an intuition of some sort). Sending continued prayers to Cookie.

Oh Kim, How horrible! You and your little one will be in our prayers along with Jen and Cookie..Recently, Our nice big fancy truck was stolen while we had lunch in LA...Such an awful feeling when we came out with the key and no vehicle. But now after knowing what you have gone thru, this was nothing. I pray that somehow she can find you or you can find her. I know Jen has done more than I could have ever thought of doing. (Having Reesiesdad sure helped her). Maybe you can go back and look at all she did and that will help you. They say home invasion is many times a person who knows you or helps someone else do it. Why cant people just be nice and caring to one another??? Why do some people have to cause such hurt and pain???I know many prayers are sure with you tonight. Sleep well and know God has a plan for each of us even though we may not understand.

I haven't been on YT for a while and just read through the 80 or so pages from my post. I am so sorry that Cookie hasn't been found yet. But, with everything that has been done by you and Reesiesdad, I do feel you will get Cookie back.
I am glad to see that your family life is back to "normal" again and that you are living life again as well.

Haven't been on the boards in a while and was hoping that there would be good news here and Cookie was back home with his family. It is really heartbreaking. People can be so selfish stealing someone's beloved pet. They don't realize the devastation it has on not only the family but the dog as well. These little ones love their families just as much (sometimes even more) and they suffer heartache, depression and despair too. It's cruel to take one that already has a home when there are so many that don't have one. It makes no sense what these crazies are thinking. I just hope that Karma comes back around and bites them in the arse!
