Me too...I wish there were more compassionate ppl in the world...someone has Cookie and is being very, very selfish :( |
I've finally been able to play my last idea, a professional-looking letter campaign to a specific group of people that have seen him, according to witnesses. It's something I've been trying to do for months but haven't had enough information from the witnesses to target the group. I'm still waiting for more addresses, so I'm not finished yet. Now, it's just a wait to see if anyone will respond anonymously to an email address. I keep a candle lit just in case. |
WOOHOO! You go, Reesiesdad!!! |
lets hope that this time, all your hard work is rewarded. :hands: |
I'll keep our fingers and paws crossed!!!:) |
Hoping for the best possible news! Good luck, and prayers continue of Cookie and Jen. |
I sure hope this works! Crossing fingers! :xfingers: |
I pray this works. If successful PLEaSe send copy of letter to file away . Just had report of dognapping in upscale Beverly Hills neighborhood. The news said it has happened at least once a month recently. This was unusual as they did it across s from police station. Grabbed little Chihuahua out of elderly woman"s arms. Later came to say if did not give them $800, they would not return her dog (Baby). Broke my heart. Good ending, male, female arrested. No details but pictures and (for once) they looked like their crime. Dirty and scary, would cross st to avoid them. They showed the area with people of all ages walking their dogs. |
The first return tips from our letter campaign have come in. Nothing solid as yet but still promising. A response of any kind is something that we hoped for and we can get more letters out as a result. I'll let you know more as I hear it. |
Oh good, hope something pans out:) |
Dora and Missy you both are just too cute for words. Adorable will work I suppose! Jessie and Poohbear |

Just a suggestion, if you have a zip code where your puppy has been seen you might want to ask the mail person in the area to keep a watchful eye out. |
I feel like such an idiot. After all the thinking of what we all can do, I never included the mail person into the equation. That is so elementary....I just had a thought. Since you have been so through with all this, why not put together a list of things to do. Right away and lather on. Give a time line on it, so they can follow it. Someone in Long Beach here in Ca just said a person took their dog that drove away in a Camaro. I am sitting here not knowing what to say or tell them to do... Except ask you for help. I guess we need to put out something for emergency. What do you think.? You are the one who has done all the work. Jessie. |
Genie put together a good list a few months ago and was willing to pass that on. I know she doesn't come here much anymore but I'll send her an email and let her know about it. Me, I'm just the cheerleader and the voice on her shoulder to keep looking here or there. |

If my furbaby was ever lost, I would want you as my cheerleader and the voice on my shoulder! You are a wonderful person to offer up so much help. God Bless you for all you have done and continue to do. |
Still praying for Cookie's safe return!! |
I'm glad there has been a response to your letter campaign. Any response at all is a good one. |
Like I said before, since I live so close, let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Lorraine |
I emailed the person right back on Friday letting them know what was needed but haven't heard back. Also haven't heard from anyone else including the original witness. |
Me Too! What a CheerLeader! Somehow I don't see anyone there without you there. That is just the way it is. You are the best. We should all be so lucky to have a friend like you. And I mean once in a lifetime! YOU ARE WHAT THEY WRITE POETRY ABOUT. Jessie and Poohbear |
Still praying for Cookies return. For a long, long time a lit a a daily candle for Cookies safe return (JB&S) but a the beginning of May I went on a medical mission to Haiti and was unable to continue lighting candles. I hoped for good news when I came back home and pray this letter gets some helpful responses. |

Just checking in to see if there had been good news yet. One day it will happen. |
praying daily for Cookies return:) |
We too pray daily for little Cookies return |
Still keeping you and Cookie in our prayers. |
My thoughts and prayers are with you....hoping, hoping |
Hi, I have not been visiting like I used to but keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I guess I would know if anything had happened. I have had nothing sent to my email. Just thought I would check in with the thought (and hope) that someone knew something and had responded to the letter. I just don't think a person could keep a little dog without seeing a vet. Did Cookie have any health issues? At 5 they sometimes begin health issues. I would make the rounds of vets again., Maybe in one of the surrounding areas. Maybe there is 1 big organization for all of the vets in the state to go for their classes to keep their licenses current. Some states have these requirements. I would think your regular vet could clue you in on that. Hugs and prayers. Jessie and Poohbear |
Still Praying for Cookie to come home. I think of you every time I see a Lost Dog sign. I pray I can help someone. |
I still think of Cookie too, and haven't stopped praying for his safe return. I hope Jen is doing ok. |
