Gen - I was just checking in for updates. I am on my lunch break and haven't read a lot of the recent posts, but it sounds like you may be close to getting Cookie back - I hope so! Try to get some rest, I know it must be hard. Hang in there and know that there are a lot of people praying for you, your family and Cookie to be reunited with you soon.

I saw the dog and it wasnt
 
I went after school was out and parked a block away.With a different car.
I waited and waited and about 2 hrs later sure enough I see a little girl walking a little yorkie almost immediately I knew it wasnt him. I drove up not too fast and not too slow. I drove right up pass her and was 100% it was not my Cookie. This one was a tiny yorkie but he had something wrong with his hair. I forgot the name of it. It's very ,very thinned out and sparse also the face was no way my Cookie. You guys can only imagine how I gasped when I see those 4 little legs walking down the street. I did not stop to talk to her, I did not want to scare her. But my husband saw it also and immediately said " That's not Cookie"

I had a huge inhale exhale moment and felt awful but I just really wanted to be able to see it up close so I wont go any more crazy than I am now.

Thanks guys. I will continue to update and still search. I am going to do my best to stay home tomorrow and Thursday.

How disappointing and devastating to you. We were all hoping that it was Cookie. Gen you've blanketed the area with flyers and posters. Is it possible that a hawk or eagle picked him up? Do you remember when the other three dogs came to the door to come in, were they shakey or scared? Gen, I just hate thinking it.

No they werent shaking or anything. I was at the kitchen window looking out and fixing lunch when I went around the counter to open the sliding door, he was missing. This must have been within 3 min ..I dont know. If I had ever in the almost 7 yrs living here seen any hawks circling my house and my dogs have been with me (Cookie would turn 6 in March) Lola 4, Angel 3 and Lucky will turn 2 in July. All that time I never seen hawks in my area or like in the neighbor's area. I know it is deffinately possible that this just happened to be the one time that it happened but not knowing will always have me searching for him.

I am so very sorry this did not turn out to be the Hope we all had! It was still so nice of the lady to call you about it. I just know there are other wonderful people out there who if they know anything will also come forward. Take care of yourself! Hugs!

Gen, I'm sorry this didn't work out. I know it must be so dissapointing. :( But I still have this amazing feeling and I am just certain that Cookie is still out there looking for you.

ive stopped getting updates for this thread for some reason and because you have been on my mind i popped by to see if there was anysign of cookie.

i was getting so excited reading your posts about the girl but hopefully the next lead will be the big one i really hope you find him xx

Gen I am so sorry it wasn't him. I believe that God is giving you hope for a reason so don't give up! cookie has to come home and God has got to lead you to him! I am still praying without ceasing.

Oh Gen, I have been waiting to get on here all day to see what you found out, I am so very sorry that it was not Cookie, but at least you got to see that it was not him, I will continue to keep you in my prayers and thoughts, I just know that God will help you get through this. I am so sorry it wasn't your baby. Keep your chin up. You have done everything you could think of. I bet your whole community is keeping their eye out also. You have alot of people out there who are helping you. I'm sure something will turn up.

Like I said before some people will argue or tell you what you are doing is wrong. But when it comes down to it, people care here in YT and I will continue to say that.

I will continue updating. I dont want this thread shut down. You guys don't understand how I need to come back here every few hrs to get support and be around people who understand that these little animals are like kids to us.

So sorry to hear that it wasn't Cookie. I still feel so sad for you. Were you able to check out the house that you were suspicious about, the one that the kid came out to get your flyer?

That will be our next step. I just spent some time with my youngest in her room and hugged her and we talked for a long time. I know things will get better but its like I see him everywhere. Especially since his name is Cookie.

On the other hand, I'm glad you know, so it won't be eating at you.
Try to get some rest.
I know my husband would be devastated to not be able to fix something like this. Prayers for your husband, too.
