My baby is missing. I dont know what to do!???
 

I have not visited in a few months but this was not a way for me to want to visit. I am beyond devestated , I am numb, shock .. I dont know what to think or how to think straight!

I have 2 yorkies, 1 maltese and a maltese/ yorkie mix. My oldest is Cookie
he is 5 yrs old and my love. I have a very safe gated backyard. Plus we even took the precaution to add additional metal xpen gates on each side so I can see them just in the back area. I let them out to pee, run around for a while. Today I let them out for about 1 hr and I noticed that only 3 dogs were by the sliding door. I rushed outside and started calling him...he was gone.All the gates were in place. If he did find a way out, 1 or more of the other dogs would have followed. I fear that someone took him. I already contacted AVID and notified them that he is missing. Everything is closed today .
I printed flyers and several were up within 1 hr. I still dont want to think he is gone. I am just numb with fear of thinking if he did run out, that he is dead. He is LITTLE maybe 4 lbs at the most. I live in Port Saint Lucie , FLorida

I pray,pray pray and beg God that someone found him and has a heart to call or take him to a shelter.

A few months ago I found a dog on our porch. For some reason I went to craiglist and posted that I found this dog. Within 2 hrs the owner saw the ad and also had placed an ad before looking for her dog. The dog was about 12 miles away from his home.They told her to list this in Craiglist ,even if it was a slim chance but someone might see it. I hope someone sees my ad and calls me.

He sleeps with me right next to my stomach or back. He wont sleep anywhere and will scratch and beg to sleep with me. When I'm out of the house , he lays down by the door until I return. He is that attached to me. I am not going to sleep.I just had coffee and I cant think straight.

Please pray that he is at least in a safe place and not running scared in the streets. We do NOT have lots of streets here. Just lots of trees and bushes and ..I dont want to think anymore

How horrible for you. I could not in a million know what it's like to have one lost. I will pray for his safe return. Please just keep us updated.

I am praying for the safe return of your baby. I cannot image what you must be going through.

I just got back with my husband. We printed 100 flyers and put them all over the neighborhood. I also stopped anyone who was walking and gave them a flyer. I put a flyer at our local petfood store Petco.
Tomorrow I will call our vet and other vet clinics and let them know to please scan any new Yorkies that come in.

Its getting cold outside right now. At this point I just pray that someone found him and has him. I honestly prefer that someone took him and is caring for him. I am going to breakdown so horribly that words cant' describe at the moment. I keep looking around the house and he is not here. I want him back so bad. :cry:

I am going to print at least 200 more flyers tonight and post them tomorrow.

Do you have bushes or trees that would prevent you from seeing your whole yard? Maybe he did get out somehow and he is under a bush or something. Maybe a window well or something that he could have fallen in to. I am so sorry you are going throught this. I will keep you and your little Cookie in my thoughts and prayers. Stay strong and keep looking!!

Words cannot express my sadness for you. Are you sure your baby couldn't have crawled under the house somehow? Have you tried walking your other dogs to maybe attract your missing one? I wish I could help you find Cookie. :hands: I'm praying for you and your little one.

I am so sorry this has happened to you, I can't imagine how heart sick you must be. I am praying for you to have a happy reunion.
I also will pray that if someone took cookie that they will feel overwhelmed with guilt and they bring him back to his home.

Our home is solid concrete so there is no way for them to get under the house. Our youngest one "Lucky" barked today outside but I know that my Maltese would have seen anyone , she is NONstop barking and she didnt do that. My yard is pretty bare with a wooden face all around. I have a clear view of the backyard from my kitchen window plus the sliding door curtains are wide open so I cansee them there.The house right behind us has huge dogs, I think they are rottweilers ..spelling? IDK but there is no way unless you dig and my dogs don't dig and those dogs have NEVER dug by the fence. My eyes are swollen. I just went to feed the other 3 like an hr ago and I burst into tears because I had to grab 3 bowls and leave 1 bowl on the counter. My hubby took the bowls from me and fed them. He is devestated by this whole thing also. His eyes are blood red so I know he's been crying as well. Cookie is my baby. Before him I did not like any kind of animal. So Cookie changed me forever. He was a gift from my husband. We soon ended up getting 2 more then our maltese had a mixed pup ( yorkie/maltese) so we kept him too but I never bonded so deeply as I did with Cookie.

I'm so sorry that cookie is missing my prayers are with you and for cookies safe return. I can't imagine the pain you are going thru.
Sometimes hawks are bigger than our babies and can take off with them.
Has it crossed your mind that maybe a big bird could had taken him? Just a thought though.:(

It\'s possible I just don\'t know. I have always said that I dont know what I would do the day he passed away. Always thinking that this is years in the future. Through all this, I will go out in the morning and continueto post flyers and search.
