1 Attachment(s) Thank you guys. I have checked all those ads and none are Cookie. Tonight was another eventful and a little sad moment, I wont lie. I got in bed EARLY at 9 pm! I had a bad headache. At 9:30pm I get a call on my cell which is unusual. So I asked my daughter to get it. I missed the call so I dialed the number. A couple had just found a male yorkie in our area. about 3 miles away. I didnt even get excited I thought it was a prank maybe. So I asked her to send me a picture on my cell. About 2 minutes later the picture was loading. My oldest daughter sitting next to me was doing homework and just dropped everything and wanted to see the picture. My youngest had her head on my lap and said "LET ME SEE" Well we look at the picture and I had serious doubts because it looks a lot like Cookie with shorter hair! So I call them back and ask them to check his tail.Cookie has a SUPER short tail just a tiny nub. The lady tells me " It's so tiny!" So my heart starts pounding. I ask if he is neutered and she says "yup" again my heart pounding harder. She said she could bring him to me at that moment. But I decided to meet them at Walmart nearby. We all get out of our cars and I see him. For one second I thought "OMG could this be?" But I knew ...not him. I asked to carry him and he was so sweet and ADORABLE! He was groomed and smelled so good and had a shirt on! He was about 5 lbs. Not nervous at all. They could tell by my face that I was sure it was not him. They decided to drive around the same area they found him. I told them this Yorkie is VERY VERY loved trust me. I could tell. We drive home in total silence trying to make small talk. But my husband and I knew that we felt let down :( About 20 minutes ago the couple texted me to let me know that they found the owners in the area extremely distraught looking for him!! They were extremely thankful that someone picked him up and was looking for his owner. Here is the picture I got. Gen |
So sorry it was not Cookie Gen, hes a cutie and im so happy they found his owners. Hoping Cookie comes home soon. |
When I started reading your last post, I was so hoping this was Cookie. How wonderful that this little boy was reunited with his family Still praying for your Cookie! |
So sorry you had another disappointment, Gen. When you have a sad day, just keep pushing into tomorrow, because some "tomorrow" is when you'll see Cookie again. Fingers, toes--at this point I've even got my eyes crossed for you. |

I'm so sorry that it wasn't Cookie. But it is nice to know there are nice people out there that will return them. |
What a rollercoaster! Sorry it wasn't Cookie.:( |
Oh Gen, so sorry this wasn't Cookie. Don't give up we're all praying he WILL come home soon. Glad they found the little guy's owners xo |
I was very glad they found the owners. I could imagine that moment when they saw their baby and he was only missing for like an hour and a half at the most! He was very, very well mannered and I have never carried another yorkie so calm and relaxed as he was. Usually most Yorkies are afraid to be picked up by strangers. This little guy didnt even squirm, he just let me carry him and stared at me like " You're not my mom lady but you're nice" The couple that found him had just lost a Jack Russel recently ( he passed away) they went through a rollercoaster ride themselves. At first he was missing , then they had him back but he passed away recently. The few posters that are still up and craigslist is what has people still calling me. A few of my posters have been taken down by the city. Many of them are still up. Gen |
Still thinking of you and Cookie!!! Always sending prayers! :hands::hands::hands: |
You and Cookie in our thoughts and prayers all the time. He will come home. |
Thank you for all your prayers. I just want to let you guys know that even though I don't post too often here that it doesnt mean that I am not looking into other things. I am still actively searching. I also contact any person that has lost a yorkie in Florida and try to give them the very important steps that NEED to be taken in the first 24 hrs. You can't sleep and think that tomorrow you will find your furbaby. I tell pet owners. You NEED to knock on doors immediately at least 5-10 blocks in each direction in the first 1-2 hrs this should be done. Someone else needs to be printing out at least an 8X11 flyer while you knock on doors, with a picture that is at least 5"X6" and you dont need to put tons of info. just Lost Dog ,the picture and your number in bold large numbers.People are listening because I have seen the laminated flyers in my area and people are looking. I really cant believe that we live in a place that you cant enjoy taking your dog out to a nice park or outdoor shopping because of crazy people out for a buck or their next hit! Hug all your babies for me tonight. Gen |

Joeys/Mom===would like to know what happened to the little yorkie you saw at the pet shop w/thin hair, in need of being rescued? ASAP where was this at? I'LL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT...[/QUOTE] I sent you a privite message, but will answer you here also. His name is Tobi and he was a puppy mill stud. He weighed 3lbs 4oz. and he is now nutured and living in a loving home outside the wire cage. He is adjusting to having free roaming time. He is such a baby doll. His new mommy and her sister shower him with love. He is being spoiled rotten. I'm not sure who the luckiest of the three of them are but I think it's the sisters. They of course know his history and they feel like they can give him something he has never had, but when I go by it takes them a couple of hours to get me up to date on what Tobi has been into and learning. At least it's a good ending to a sad situation for him. Sharon |
Oh where, oh where could Cookie be, oh where, oh where could he be??? |
As I sit here rubbing Joey's little belly, I am hoping Someone is rubbing Little Cookies for him until his mommy has him back in her arms rubbing it for him. Still praying for Gen and Cookie to be reunited. I still feel it will happen. Just can't be soon enough. |
I think one day there will be a happy ending, but it sure seems hard to get there. I'm stupified at how many lost/found/tossed out dogs there are in craigslist, shelters, and rescues. So many to look through and there's always the SPCA commercial on TV that makes you want to go out and find the saddest one you can find and give him a home. And the poor dogs just don't understand any of it. They don't know about money, they don't know they've been stolen, they don't know why some people like to see them hurt. I keep hoping Cookie is being taken care of, and for the rest when it's all over I hope there's a better place than this. |

The first person they called was me before placing the ad. I just totally forgot and still emailed them when I saw the ad! Even though it doesnt look a whole lot like Cookie. I can't ID Cookie in a picture if it has really short hair. Of Course if I hold him in my arms I will know it in a heartbeat. I partnered up with a woman who lost her cat about the same time I lost Cookie. She is as relentless as I am and still goes to the Humane Society here and about 30 miles away twice a week. While there she looks to see if there are any yorkies there. I told her that I saved a picture of her cat and if I see one that resembles her cat that I will snap a picture on mycell phone and forward it to her. This way I have two people looking in the Humane Society here. I really HATE how the employees at Humane Society dont offer much help at all. I understand 150% that you need to go in person to ID your pet. Yes I understand. But geeze if I call and they are in front of a computer, how hard is it to tell me if they have any yorkies in the system??? Yesterday the woman that went called me and told me she saw 1 larger yorkie there that she knew was not mine. But as she left she saw a male employee walking a tiny yorkie in the excersise walk area for the dogs. She forgot tto snap a picture :( Well I called them right away and they kept telling me that they only have 1 yorkie there surrendered by its owner and it was 8 yrs old and larger. Ok I\'m talking about the one being walked... They switched me over to 2 people and they told me the same thing. They just told me if we dont see it in this section then it might be up for adoption and you need to come and see it. I asked again. Can you tell me if its a female male? Big , little? Nope nothing! For this place I have to ask questions because its 30 miles from here. I do tell them I am very far and if they could just check if they have a yorkie/male/small. I have been there several times and believe the distance from their chair to the dogs is like 20 feet. But the answer is just " You need to come" Gen I am going in a little while to go and check it out |
I hope and pray they have Cookie for you. sending hugs:hug:x |
Keeping fingers and toes crossed. This might be it, Gen. you never know! |
