*gasp!* I had a dream about a pair of yorkies in a storm drain before. I can't beleive I forgot about it! Yes some storm drains are large and deep, it is very possible he could have fallen down one. this is a good idea.

Just checking for news and want to apoligize ... I haven't deserted you, Gen! I had my Boniva infusion [every three months] on Monday and the side effects this time were horrible. I am much better and want you to know I haven't stopped praying for Cookie, you and your family. I will be resuming my e-mailing, etc. I haven't finished reading all the new posts on this thread but did read the suggestion to speak to as many children as possible. That's a great idea ... children want to please and to feel important. Possibly there is a child out there who may have a little piece of information. If someone stole Cookie and a child knows someone with a new, cute little dog ... they're surely going to tell someone! God bless you and watch over sweet little Cookie!

I agree with talking to kids. Even see if you can pass out flyers in the local school district. Possibly schedule a day for a neighborhood Cookie-search and make up t-shirts with a huge picture of her on the front and your # or contact on the back. That will hopefully scare anyone who has her seeing ALL THOSE PEOPLE looking for her and if they took her they will call saying they "found her". Good luck, I'm so sorry you're going through this.

Hey Gen, Just checking in. In an attempt to help you I called the Port St Lucie Humane Society just to check.The supervisor said they did'nt have a Cookie and said there was not a report filled out on him.I told them what I knew about Cookie and gave them my phone# because I did'nt know yours. Obviously you should call them.Their # is 772-461-0687.I told them I thought he was microchipped and they do check that.She recommended calling back though because sometimes her employess are'nt dilligent in their work.I want you to know that you are not alone in this.:)

Just checking in for any updates. One other thing, when you are calling around asking about any new dogs that have been scanned, please make sure to ask them to go back to the date that Cookie went missing. I was reading an article somewhere where a pup had been missing for a couple of months and it was the owner's persistence and request that one facility go back to around the time that the pup went missing to search for scanned numbers. That is when the owner found out that her pup was scanned shortly after it went missing and she was able to be reunited with the pup after a few months. We left this morning and started knocking on doors since most people are home today. My sister gave me such a GREAT idea!!! She told me about those sound amplifiers that you wear as ear phones. Anyway I got to thinking and my husband bought a little device called LISTEN UP! You can plug in your IPOD headphones. You raise the volume and you are able to clearly hear sounds from far away. I went out this morning and had it on. So when I knocked I could even hear the people talking inside, the tv on and any pets in there.

My husband was across the street to another neighbor and I could hear the conversation clearly from about 100 ft away. This is just another helpful tool that should be used immediately! if your pet is missing.
We came back to get some water, the sun was pounding us bad.There are lots of pet lovers out here also. People called me this morning telling me their own stories of heartache.

I just wanted to show you what we are dealing with in this search. We through some of the empty lots but some are so bushy that I can't physically walk through.

I forgot to thank you for this! I just called and they finally picked up the phone. I asked about Cookie and they had no clue what I was talking about! But they told me a lady called and also made a report! I am going there now with my husband. I want to be able to talk to more employees if possible!!

Cookie's Mommy, I think that "listening" devise is genius! That was such a smart idea that your hubby had. I was thinking of a "microphone" devise that you could talk through and your voice would be LOUD! I'lll call radio shack and see how much they cost and sent you the money. But if you know of one, let me know how much. Remember when everyone had a CB in their car? They could just drive down the street and broadcast their message. I can only imagine how tired ya'll must be and how many pairs of shoes you've gone through. Please, if anyone out there knows where you buy one of these contraptions, PM me. We love you Cookie! A tiny bit of you belongs to all of us in our hearts.

I emailed FL Yorkie Rescue and was told that Cookie is on the front page of their rescue~Great Job!!! Stay strong. :thumbup:

Oh Dear - with the Storm Sewers and such I just thought of something. You may want to call the city's maintenance works department to let them know your dog is missing. Phone and cable companies too !

You guys are amazing with every little thing that you do , you guys are helping more than you know.
I'm afraid that this is taking a toll on me. I just went to the PSL HUmane society where Supposably they did not have a report on missing yorkie. When I get there I realize I was already there and they do have my flyer. I spoke to a mgr and another girl. They posted a flyer in the front also plus they already had one in the back.

Iwent back and started knocking on doors and saw a family outside and hurried totalk to them. They lady in her early 30's, her mom and her small toddlers. I started to show her the flyer and she started to cry because she has a flyer. She broke down telling me she knows how much I love this little guy and I totally broke down and could not control my tears. A lot of people do know about Cookie already.I told them that I am doing everything and anything so people can spread the word. She said he is beautiful and most likely someone found him and wants to keep him until they realize how sick he will become because of his liver disease. I had to come back home and talk to you guys.I knocked on another door and the lady said she got a flyer from Walmart at the photo center.

Yes we are exhausted.My husband went on bike for like 4 miles away and was talking to anyone that was home.I feel terrible for him also.

I just listed Cookie. It was $4.00 for his picture,$2.00 for phone notification and $2.00 for matching exact breed.


Today was a very long day for me. The sun really got to me and when I got home I knocked out for like an hour and a half. My husband didnt let anyone come near the room and answered the phone for me.

I just want you guys to know that my search for Cookie will continue. I really felt he would be home by now. I cant imagine how Thanksgiving will be if he's not here. But I will continue posting new flyers if the others get washed away from the humidity. I know many people have told me that what I am doing is way beyond what they have seen many people do. The people I speak to tell me my big car sign with picture says it all. I will NOT remove that poster from my car until Cookie comes home. I am making another one for so I can have both sides of the car with posters.To me Cookie is my 3rd child.

I'm his mom and our family is not complete without him.Call it obsessive, call it crazy I call it devoted, unconditional love

Please keep us in your prayers and continue searching online for found yorkies.

I am going out to get all different newspapers and search through Lost and found. Keeping an eye out for any kids playing so Ican stop and tell them about the "reward" for Cookie.

I am still hoping and praying that your baby comes home. We all understand the love we have for these little ones. My heart goes out to you. My God give you the strength to continue looking for your Cookie. I just know you will find him. If someone has him they have to know what he means to your family. You are really doing everything you could do to find him. I really don't think you missed anything. I commend you for your allegiance to this baby. My heart just breaks for you.
