I know the donations have helped tremendously to continue , getting flyers, ads and supplies markers, posters and LOTS of tape. How I wish that all of you were here with me right now. I keep thinking " Imagine if I had 30 people searching in this area???!! But Cookie has me, a very determined mommy and the support of everyone here helps lift me up and push me to walk further than I have ever walked in my life and ignore any soreness or being sweaty.

Has anyone contacted FL Yorkie Rescue? There is a member here on YT that posts occasionally but I am not sure what her SN is off the top of my head. Rescues are always on the look out for lost pups. We get alerts all the time. I really thing she needs to be contacted and she could really help to get the word out in the FL area.

I hope that Cookie is found very very soon. :(

This morning I found a small yorkie at my back door. The pet is chipped but the chip has not been registered and none of the local vets have his number logged. It was found in the vacinity of Alladdin BLVD. I would estimate that its been out for 3 to 7 days. I currently feeding and taking care of it while we attempt to locate it's owners. If you are, or know, the owners of this adorable dog please contact me.

i'm so sorry about your loss and i just want to let you know that these things happen all the time and that people often do find their dogs and get them back safe and sound. please put out many fliers and don't give up hope!! he can be found, keep the faith!!

i also wanted to add for other readers: Please DO NOT leave your precious babies unattended outside of your home. no matter who safe your backyard seems to be with fencing and such, it's NEVER that safe and things can happen. they are such tiny babies that they can escape and find a way out somehow and people are cruel and evil in the world these days and think nothing of dropping in to steal a dog/pet from your yards. our little babies are too small to defend themselves well against an attacker or God forbid hawks and owls. Please know that no toy breed dog should EVER be left outside without you standing right there watching. these things happen more often to those that leave their pets outside without supervision (EVEN FOR A MINUTE) than they do to those standing with their pets while they are outside....

Hope everyone can learn this from my post and not have to learn the hard way as many of us have!!

Just checking in for any news of Cookie's return. Here's another possibility for you to check out.
We have City Councils Meeting here in our town twice a month. When I was having problems with people trying to take my babies, I went to the meeting. This is covered by our cable company and is aired almost everyday on the city cable channel.
Take Cookie's flyer and ask to address the council in the public session. I did this myself and now have people aware of the situation and even the police are making extra patrols, especially for the elderly senior's walking their small dogs.
I carry a small maze and a personal alarm that I got at Radio Shake. This is a great idea for everyone, if they walk their babies alone.

I'm still praying for his safe return.
Make sure your taking care of yourself because I know your having a very rough time.

I just got back , I've been in and out picking up things I keep forgetting.
I got 8 large street signs and wrote in bold red and black letters. My car sign is deffinately getting attention. People drive slowly reading it, some stop me and say how sorry they are.
On my way home I noticed that a lot of cars were parked at every few blocks ...waiting for the kids to get to the bus stop. I stopped at all those bus stops and walked over and handed every car a flyer. Continued to every few blocks and spoke to more parents. I am going to have to get something over the counter to sleep at least 6 hrs straight. The strain of all this is getting to me.

When I went to Walmart this morning to get the signs I almost cried again. Right where there is the store greeter that gives you a cart. Was a flyer for Cookie posted. Iasked who put it there because I know they dont allow it. She said one of the employees maybe but she was very touched when she saw his flyer and she moved it to a perfect view location. So I asked if I could put it in the other main entrance. I walked over to that door greeter who seemed to hate her life and bad attitude. But when I showed her the flyer and she took one look at my face. She said " SUre you can post it"
Thank you , thank you is all I could say. We have distributed about 1,000+ flyers because I have about 200 left out of the 1,200 .
I took a moment last night before going to bed around 1 am, got on my knees and let it all out. Only you guys can imagine how I am feeling right now.
Tomorrow his picture ad will come out in the paper and there is a bigger ad that will be out next friday as well.
I am no where near giving up, my body is just exhausted right now.
I will keep updating.

Each time I get an email notification about this thread I quickly click on hoping for good news. My wife and I are praying for you. I commend your vigilance in trying to find Cookie. A lot of people would have given up.It seems like you have done about all you can.It's in gods hands now.

My heart just goes out to you.. i cant imagine (nor do i want to) but you have the support of all the yorkie owners everywhere.. i told my husband about your situation and he is just sick along with me.. i say a silent prayer every time i think of how scared poor Cookie is.. Im sure he knows his mommy is looking for him!! Keep up the good work!!!

Dear Gen, you and I don't know each other but throughout this whole ordeal, we are now sisters. When people agree in prayer, they are united. Please, my dear, get some rest. If you need to take a Tylenol PM, then take it for some sleep. No one has ever worked harder to find a baby than you but you need a good night's sleep. I agree with the former poster that it is in God's hands and I don't want you to stop exploring every avenue but you are running on fumes. Just take time to recharge your batteries and keep from getting sick. I pray for you and your husband as well as Cookie. The logistics of all the bases you have covered is absolutely mind boggleing. You have not only come up with great ideas for rescue on your own but instigated many, many, of the fantastic ideas of YT members. Simply amazing. That city council meeting idea was incredible. Just try to lay yourself down and get some overdue rest. This kind of stress over so long a time span is detrimental to your health. I can only imagine what this "fight for your life" war must be like for you but please know in your heart that even when you take time to care for Gin, the war goes on in the heavenlies.
