| oh my god do not listen to this crazy man!! he's out of his mind thinking a little yorkie should be walked on a collar especially a prong collar is he nutts?? and yes listen to the vet, 4 months is too young for a spay!! and please don't send that dog back to a breeder, many many people have two females and have no trouble at all with them. you just have to train them up with each other and they will be sisters in no time. don't listen to this man, he should loose his training abilities and tell all your friends not to use him ever...in fact you should post his info on here in the section about reviewing breeders and services!! he's horrible! i hope you don't listen to him and that you go with you gut on this one, you can easily have two girlies and take great care of them, you sound like you really love them both and can make it work for them. i would get someone else to help in training and forget this looser |

| Trainer sounds like an IDIOT!!!! Get a new trainer. DO NOT use him! Anyone who can tell you to get rid of her without even TRYING to see how they are together and then DRAG her and scare her with a leash and that yorkies should have a collar, never mind a PRONG collar, is AN IDIOT! ooohh this makes me mad! Your girls will more than likely be fine together, especially after they are fixed. They are close in age and will enjoy each others company when you are not home.

| This is crazy... #1 NEVER use a collar for walking and NEVER use a prone collar ![]() #2 YES you can have 2 females and live happy. I agree that they both should be spayed (when the time is right). I agree that you need to keep socializing them and keep up with the discipline training and routines and schedules. Roxy was 6 months old when I got her. TJ was 13 weeks. They came from the same breeder. They have the same father. I was told that Roxy didn't like TJ too much while in the breeders care. Well, the breeder turned out to be a puppymill/BYB and they weren't socialized at all. Roxy was a scared and timid girl with separation anxiety. TJ was a young playful pup. They were FINE with each other. HOWEVER, as they grew into the next stage of life in our family, TJ became the dominant one, and this was after they were both spayed/neutered. The fights became bad. He fought her for toys, treats, food and attention. This caused Roxy to go deep into a fear retreat, that lasted about 4 months. I had to step up and STOP the aggression TJ was displaying and I had to boost Roxy's self esteem. They are now 4.5 yrs old and are a bonded pair. TJ is no longer aggressive towards Roxy. And actually TJ is usually the one being attacked by Roxy when the play fight/wrestle begins (how times have changed). |

| First of all.....you sound like a great yorkie mommy! I have 6 babies; 4 males and 2 females. Do they squabble?? Sure they do; they are almost human (aren't they??) and we squabble don't we? But they don't fight, they all basically get along great. They are all spayed or neutered, so that's the big plus. And as far as the "trainer", well..I'm wouldn't insult REAL trainers by calling him one! Keep your baby...you've got lots of good lovin and kisses coming your way!

| Thank you!!! You all have been wonderful with your comments and advice. I feel so much better. I felt like crying the other day when he told me all of that stuff. I do want to be a good mama to my babies and didn't want to do anything that would be bad for them. I did feel like maybe I had made a mistake after he said that but felt like there must be a way to fix it other than giving her back (which never was a real option to me) The daycare trainer said they are "bonded" and she told me this morning that they are both very good dogs and that they will be fine. This is the same daycare center where the "crazy nut" used to be a trainer. The current staff does not seem to reflect the same philosophy as he (I checked). Oh, but another question.... I read that I should separate them periodically and do things separately with ea and put them in separate crates. Sounds reasonable. Any suggestions as to how any of you do it??? Right now they sleep together in the same crate but it is kind of big and it is in the xpen so the door stays open. They have a litter box for doing their biz. I guess I'll buy another crate tonite. |

| I've never crated mine......but, hey if it's working I would say leave it alone. When I get a new yorkie, I'll keep it in an ex-pen alone for a few days while I'm work, just so the others can get use to it. They're all in the kitchen/living room, the newpie is just confined. The yorkies let DH and I sleep with them, all in the same bed. Everyone has his "place" at night, and all is well! (well, they get sleep anyway..... )

| I am not sure who recommended this guy.. but I would surely kick him to the curb... I have three femals and two males.. once in awhile a tiff over wanting the same thing.. but children do this also... The only thing of having two puppies at the same age a little harder for training but can be done.. I got majik at 6 months old.. breeder lives on larger property and he was not use to a harness.. but a little bit when I wanted and now does fine.. at the meet up one would never know he was not use to a harness and leash...and I do not crate train..... But I never panic on training... no matter what it is.. for again like children one will get it faster... If you love them and want two yorkies.. then why get rid of one of them..I think you lost good hard earned money girlie... This is the place you should have came to first... as you can see not many only have one..anne |

| Definitely loose that trainer!! I have 3 Yorkies, 1 neutered male, 1 spayed female, and 1 intact female. The spayed female actually causes most the skirmishes, then the male. Only one vet visit and that was accidental between them. Prong collar ... give me a break!!!! Easiest way to get them walking is with a dog who knows how to walk. Seek out a neighbor with a friendly dog and go with them. Might have to do it one on one till they get the idea. Good Luck!! I know you'll be having fun. Just ignore the idiots. Oh ... and harnesses only....

| And about language ... mine knows every 4 letter word (not from me of course!) came to me with this education (adopted at age 5) and the word 'treat'. No matter what context or volume is used! He runs and hides under the bed. Oh and pizza too! Sometimes we spell when he's within earshot ... but I think he's picking that up too! Sorry, Treat and Pizza get him back out from under the bed!
