Thank you!!! You all have been wonderful with your comments and advice. I feel so much better. I felt like crying the other day when he told me all of that stuff. I do want to be a good mama to my babies and didn't want to do anything that would be bad for them. I did feel like maybe I had made a mistake after he said that but felt like there must be a way to fix it other than giving her back (which never was a real option to me) The daycare trainer said they are "bonded" and she told me this morning that they are both very good dogs and that they will be fine. This is the same daycare center where the "crazy nut" used to be a trainer. The current staff does not seem to reflect the same philosophy as he (I checked). Oh, but another question....
I read that I should separate them periodically and do things separately with ea and put them in separate crates. Sounds reasonable. Any suggestions as to how any of you do it??? Right now they sleep together in the same crate but it is kind of big and it is in the xpen so the door stays open. They have a litter box for doing their biz. I guess I'll buy another crate tonite. |
