| ![]() I had no idea what Miley or her parents weighed when i went to get her..It wasn't til i brought her home and weighed her that I knew she was wayyy small..I weight her everyday to make sure she gains..i did it wiht my chi til he got older..now i do every once in awhile justto see if he is the same or lost or gained ect.. I see nothing wrong with shooting for a certain size as long as it is within the standard..Thats what a standard is set for and thats what makes a yorkie a yorkie along with other things.. What I hate to see is people wanting to buy dogs like say a beagle..(couldn't think of anything else lol) and want to find a breeder that sells beagles hat are 2 pounds when they are supposed to be what 15 (I don't have any idea what they ae supposed to way lol) anyway see what im getting at. If she wants a yorkie that is around 4 pounds it is still within the standard size for a yorkie and I see nothing wrong with it..it's her preference.. BUT.......Star if you are really set on a smaller one then I'd wait til you got your lil guy home and adjusted before you get another..and I'd make sure you do plenty of research and prepare yourself..cause the smaller ones can have issues..but then again so can the bigger ones..just educate yourself.. One last thing..very important..wait til pup is 12 weeks before you bring home..I learnt that lesson the hard way and it almost cost miley her life because of my stupidity..

I agree also. When I got Teddy at 3 months old he was 2.2 pounds and that honestly scared me a little. I was always worried about him getting squished or getting sick and not being able to make it. I got him as a birthday present so I had no idea how big his parents were or anything. I just knew that I wanted a sweet yorkie of any size and my prayers were answered ![]()

| ![]() ok thanks for your info.. i wont buy the smaller dog, when i buy my next one.. also the company that works for the breeder contact me today.. to go over so much stuff in reguard too the new little puppy... there was alot of stuff she meantion need to be done... and the dog ,needs too be watch at all the times because he's so little... i now can see its a joy it can be a handful or a painful end with out following the daily needs this little puppy comes with compare to regular pups..but thank god this is nothing i can't handle he will be the only baby i have in the house so i can tend to his, every needs...i think i'll wait until like christmas and get another one it gives me some time with him but he will be 10 weeks when i get him i thought it was 8 but the breeding company said because he so little they need 10 weeks before the breeders let's them go.. |

when getting a puppy you should be getting it from teh breeder themselves, not a company.

| ![]() [QUOTE=star28c;2771175] ok thanks I understand and i trust everyone review on these dogs and everyone says the samething..how the dog will get sick too small;; so i decided to wait for a while simce im new too yorkies and this is my first baby..im not gonna jump the bullet..however i did get too speak with the breeder company today. she gave me a whole list of of stuff i need to follow daily because the puppys so small, they require alot more then basic regualr dogs. she said the dog is very small and for me to watch him at all times..so i see i'll have my handsful for awhile,, and i did find out today when i get him he will be 10 weeks not 8 they said because he so little they dont send dog until there 10 week old |

i'd look elsewhere for a puppy. there are breeders here on YT or you can go to Yorkshire Terrier Club of America to look for a reputable breeder.

| ![]() but they already took my money? and they paid for flight for the dog ? i thought this would have been safe the fact that alot of people claim there breeders online and it ends in a scam for cash i guess was dumb thinking this would be a great choice now im sad..ands he coming on the 3rd of september to my local airport i dont know what too do.. they claim to be a good company they have picture of Miley Cyrus gettting her dog from them and rosy o'donnell.. could this all be a fake scam? |

| ![]() Probably not a scam just not an ideal place to get your puppy. I just saw the "testimonials" haven't we seen that pic of Miley Sirus somewhere else before?

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | ![]() it happens unfortunately. brittany spears went and got her puppy from a pet store. impulse buys. If you can't get your money back then you take that puppy and enjoy the hell out of him. Lots of people here have puppies from places they didn't know any better about. some are perfectly fine, some have minor problems, some have major problems. nothing you can do about it once you have the puppy. just love him and spoil him. Now that you are on YT and you are learning you'll be able to get your female from a better place whenever you decide to get her. ![]()

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() They are puppy brokers, and in my opinion the lowest of the low. Don't depend upon celebrities to give you good information on where to buy a pet, many of them are no more informed than the average person, and they believe that if they pay top dollar you will get a good pet from reputable breeder. Reputable breeders always want to interview the puppy purchaser, they don't want to sell a dog that might not be a suitable match, they are as picky as a rescue is when it comes to placing dogs, and they would never sell to a broker. Commercial breeders, and those who breed for profit will sell to brokers, and just about anyone else with the money, they often "pretend" to be picky, and their breeding dogs are often kept in deplorable conditions.
