				   | IMO, it is a shame that the most important thing to the OP was the size of your new puppy ? Gosh that was the furtherst thing from my mind when looking for a yorkie. I wonder why this is such a big deal to you. + this is not a huge size difference at all. If your not going to be happy with your little male puppy then, rehome him, take him back, just do not keep him. He deserves a loving home. I am sorry you feel angry and mislead . Let this be a lesson to you .Do not do business over the internet, not when it comes to live animals.

				   | I'm going to try and not repeat what others have already said, you got some good advice already. I just want to ask, if you already had three "teacups" shouldn't you know better? Also as far as the weight being scratched out, that can happen. Just the other day when I took Uni to the vet, the tech weighed her, and she said 4.8 as she wrote that in Uni's file. I said "what? no way", so we weighed her again on another scale and she said 5.1. So she proceeded to scratch out the first weight and put in the second weight, b/c I know Uni is over 5 lbs. Anyway, be glad that since you bought online, and from kijiji at that, that you didn't get a half dead parasite infested pup. You should consider yourself very very lucky.

				   | A 4lb dog is still tiny. I understand that it is upsetting that the puppy was not correctly represented, but it is yours, and we all live and learn from our expierences. I also wanted to add that a good breeder shouldn't necessarily charge alot more money for a tiny yorkie. Maddie, my little girl is 2 1/2 lbs and alot more work than any dog I have ever had. The breeder I got her from knew that the small ones take extra care and sold her to me for about 600 dollars less than what she sold Maddie's bigger brothers. Mad's sister is slightly smaller than her and sold for 300 less than Maddie. I would just enjoy my new puppy if I were you, I am sure that she is just precious. We love puppy pictures here on YT! Oh and Welcome.

				   | To the OP, so you want to return the pup for a refund and she is not willing to do that? Or are you looking for some sort of rebate? I'm feeling sorry for the little guy you got who might not be as small as you want but still deserves to be loved and spoiled..... |

				   | I just can't get over why someone would want a 2 lber? I mean if you have read and researched the breed WHY on earth would you want a 2lber? I think the OP didn't do the proper research, thought she was getting a "teacup" and thought they cost more when in fact you shouldn't charge more for a smaller yorkie, the standard size yorkie is under 7 lbs not 5-6 lbs. 5 lbs is tiny. The smaller you go the less of a "dog" you have. |

| BANNED FOR NOT SENDING A GIFT EXCHANGE GIFT! | ok first i dont even know where to start. i do agree with one of the mothers on here they are right and im not sure how to say this without offending you BUT if you did your research before you bought the baby you would have known that you do not want a yorkie 1 1.2lbs that is unsafe and unhealthy. i dont want to offend you but i am stating facts here. second off there is nothing wrong with buying a dog online to be honest i purchase my baby from a breeder in minnesota and there is nothing wrong with him he is in perfect good health and he weight 3.4lbs i got him december 08 he was born october 08 and still till this day the breeder emails me and checks on denzel and i send her pictures every month. so i dont agree with some people who say dont purchase a puppy online i guess maybe i was lucky. but i do believe you should take this to court especially if you have the documents as i have seen this many times on court tv and the person with the documents always win in favor. and if you say this puppy is adorable you should keep it if it will not have a negative affect from your part. but if this baby makes you happy i would sue the lady for the amount owed because i agree 1300 is wayyyy to much for a dog i paid 500 for my dog and i paid 100 for his plane ticket. but i am so sorry you had to experience this its awful because people like her make it hard for people to trust other people in life PERIOD. good luck and keep me updated please |

| Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | I think what the problem is is that the OP was lied to about the current weight of the puppy. Yes she wanted a smaller yorkie, which is why she paid more money for this one. The day before the puppy was shipped to her the breeder told her it weighed 1lb 10oz and then a day later when she received said dog it weighed 2lbs 6oz. A dog does not gain 12 oz in a day. She was lied to about the current size of the yorkie so that the breeder could charge more. THAT is the problem the OP is having. I don't think its because she wanted a 2 lb adult because i'm pretty sure she realized that it was going to gain more then 6oz in the next few months. The OP is mad that she was lied to and paid more for a puppy that was suppose to weigh less. Now she is asking what she can do about the misrepresentation of the puppy. Its true that adult weigh cannot be exactly determined when purchasing a puppy. However a lot of yorkie puppies DO follow the growth chart and most times the smaller the puppy is the smaller it will be as an adult. So by thinking she was buying an almost 5 month old puppy that only weighed a little more then 1.4lbs she could assume that the puppy wasn't going to weigh more then 3lbs. This puppy however, she says is already taller then her other dogs which are older then him so he will probably weigh. That is what i got out of her posts. No where does she say that she doesn't want him or doesn't like/love him. She is just upset that the breeder lied to her which is perfectly understandable and she wants to know what she can do about it. To the OP, i'm sorry this happened. I'm not sure how you would go about reporting her but i hope you are able to work something out with her and get some of your money back since your puppy was misrepresented.

				   | Yes, you may have been duped a bit by her giving you the b.s weight guarantee but you should have known that wasn't possible in the first place. The price was great either way and you have to take your share of the responsibility here. You didn't do your research and you got bent. Lesson learned. (hopefully) I really hope you don't take this out on the pup and that you can love her and take care of her forever. If not, please rehome her, she doesn't deserve anything but the best! I guess I'm a little shocked. Considering the OP has 3 other yorkies, I would think she would know that there is no such thing as a "teacup" just as there is no guarantee of size. |

				   | I just think that if the op sues then she better be willing to give the pup back. The judge will either find the deal is null and void and she will get her money back and give the pup back or keep the pup and get nothing monitarily back. She will have to prove fraud. It can be very difficult. Lesson learned!! I agree sometimes you luck out and get what you pay for sight unseen and sometimes you don't, But if you are looking for specifics it's best to see before you buy.

				   | I just hate liars and it looks like the OP was lied to by the broker/breeder/whatever that sold her this puppy. It really is not a question of whether or not there are teacups, whether bigger is better, or whether she will love the pup or not. It is a question of being taken for a ride by a broker that is trying to sell pups by saying they are smaller than they are. The pup did not gain all that weight in one day shipping. The OP already said the seller will not return her money, so just sending the pup back is not an option. Then she would be without the pup and without the money. She never said she would not love the pup even though it was not what she was supposed to be buying. Inadvertently this dishonest broker may have done the OP a favor by sending a healthier weight pup, but she should still be held accountable for the lie. I am sick to death of these puppy sellers trying to trick everyone because they know how adorable the puppies are. They figure everyone will just fall in love with them, regardless of what is or is not true in the ads or communications. I say, keep the puppy, AND follow ladymom's suggestion to take her to court for "misleading the buyer." The OP may wind up with her puppy and at least a chunk of the money back. If someone does not start taking a stand against these dishonest practices, they will never change.
