| Is Okay for my furbaby to sleep in my bed or not? I took Loli in for a routine check up a few weeks ago. The Doc and I were having the general "How is everything going" discussion. Somewhere in the conversation the fact the Loli sleeps with my husband and I was brought up. The Dr. was appaled that she doesn't sleep in a crate. He asked if Loli selpt inbetween Nate and I. When I answered yes he nealy went through the roof! He said that by allowing a dog to sleep with you, especially in the middle, you are letting them think they are the king of the king of the house. He said she now thinks she is dominant over us. He really scolded me out. My question to all of you...Where do your fur babies sleep? Is it wrong that she sleeps with me? At 7 months old should I now crate train her? I personally love cudding with my little one at night. I don't mind her sleeping with us at all. Am I wong for doing this? |

| Trainers will say not to let your dog sleep with you but I think it depends on the dog. If your dog shows signs of aggression or dominance then I would say it's not a good idea and you should make some changes but if it's not then do what you want. Ours take turns sleeping with us (can't have all 6 of them sleep with us at one time!) and we have no issues whatsoever. |

| I agree with the previous post that if the dog is showing dominance over the bed then its a bad idea but if that isn't an issue then I see no problem in it. Sam would sleep between us but now that we have two dogs and Harley is only 4 months old they sleep in their xpen together.

| I don't allow my dogs to sleep in my bed. Mayzie used to for her first year and then I got Mo. They both sleep gated in my laundry room. They are happy and I sleep very well. This is what works best for all of us.

| Mine sleep with me too. For years I always said no dogs in bed -- that was until the Yorkies came. They did not take no for an answer and I just am not a crate person. We have a ramp so they can get up and down without fear of hurting themselves. Ben might actually be the king of the house though. Many a day that I wonder who is training who.

YT 1000 Club Member | Roxie sleeps with us everynight. She knows when we say it's time for bed. She crawls imbetween us and snuggles in. She's not aggressive or tries to dominate us. So I guess I agree with the other posts that it depends on the dog and the owners. I'd say if your comfortable with it don't worry about it it's your business.

| Tucker sleeps with us every night. When we first brought him home we tried crate training but it was too much for us and Tucker didn't handle it very well. Tucker is an equal opportunity snuggler as we like to say and he will curl up with me some nights or with hubby. When we leave for work, he jumps into bed with my dad for a couple extra hours of zzz's. With the exception of a couple accidents on the bed, we've had no problems at all. Good luck!

| Amelia has her own bed in the far corner but the foot of my bed. She usually stay in it all night till half an hour before it's time to get up then she wants a little 'cuddle time' where she crawls up and sleep near my head. If she were showing dominate problems her bed would then go on the floor but so far she's been great. I think it's a personal/individual choice. |

| Gus started sleeping with me a couple of months ago. It's good for both of us, & no issues of any kind.

| Odie was crate trained when he was really young, but once he was older and we knew that he wasn't getting into anything and going to sleep at night we leave him out in the living room on his pillow. He is quite content to be out here. He has never slept in our bed, we have a high profile bed and he would break his neck trying to jump down, so that is why he is out in the living room. It is good for all of us DH, Odie and myself.

| I agree with the others. If your dogs don't have any dominance issue it shouldn't cause any problems. My dogs have there own bedroom (expecting female excepted). The 5 of them in the bed would be too much!!! |
