I know you are really upset about her story but at this point there is nothing more that you can do. There are so many sad things that go on that are mind boggling. Just know that you love Lady and would do anything for her and she loves you back unconditionally.

There are reasons to have a dog PTS but not training them to walk on a leash is ridiculous!

That is so very, very sad.... What could you say to that lady? Nothing.

All I can say is that I am very happy that Piccolo lived to four, and I celebrate every day, especially with her auto- immune disease. Hope we have 12 happy years here, and will do everything I can to make Piccolo's life happy and wonderful.

This lady is crazy. I really hope she doesn't have "skin" kids and gets tired of them. Wow Why do people insist on telling you their life story. She just couldn't say "oh how cute" and move on. What is wrong with people. Those babies deserved a better mom then they got. Maybe they are in a better place .. she's nuts.

Wow..what a horrible and ignorant person! How can you have a dog for 12 YEARS and then just put it to sleep?!? I would be absolutely devestated if I lost one of mine! And she must not feel bad about it at all if she just blabs about it to anyone...terrible

Anyway, what I tried to say is what a disgusting, heartbreaking thing to do, and to say. Some people don't deserve to have pets, they should just have stuffed animals that they can throw away when they don't want them any more. She is a sicko!

It is an absolute insult to those of us who fight to keep out precious pets with us one more day, one more year.... as long as we possibly can.

Oh I cannot even Imagine hearing something like that .....

I had to put down one of my dogs many years ago because of canine epilepsy
and it was one of the hardest things I had to do in my Life!

I cannot even think of such a thing!
There was an episode on Emergency Vet where an old man had to put down his old Black Lab and the Vet had the old man say good bye to his dog before the injection
and he was whispering to him what a good dog he'd been and how much he was going to miss him

It haunted me for DAYS

WHAT? Rehoming I could understand...but you never "need" or "have" to put an older dog to sleep if it isn't sick! I just don't understand that one AT ALL! She could have rehomed them...or dropped them at a shelter! at least given them a chance! How could she do that?! AND how could she talk about it without crying? Did she seem upset at all?

I can't even imagine. How selfish.

No, she wasn't upset at all. Very matter of fact. She said several times that it "wasn't their time", but that they wouldn't have liked having to be walked on a leash.

I can't imagine why she would tell me this after I told her that Lady is diabetic and that I have been giving her insulin shots for going on eight years. Did she honestly think I would understand?

It breaks my heart to think about it. They were a brother and sister and had been together for twelve years until this woman had them killed.

This is what I said to my bestfriend I had to put to sleep last summer, along with I love you over and over. I'm so lucky my vet let me stay in the room with her for as long as I wanted afterwards. I had to tear myself away after close to 2 hrs. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I can't imagine this woman who just put her 2 X 12 yr olds to sleep for no reason at all. That is sad.

Oh my Goodness that is so sad. That poor man. Your story brought a tear to my eye. That was his best friend. So painful to let them go. Anyone that had to put a pet down knows that pain and this nut just puts those two babies down because it was to much trouble for her to try them on a leash. Like I said before she didn't deserve to be their mommy.

When I finished reading your post, I literally just froze! I was staring at the screen with my mouth open..FROZEN!!! I absolutely cannot comprehend what that lady said. I would spend who knows what just to keep my Tucker alive!
He is my baby! I don't get it. I just don't get it.
