My Chino was sold to a couple that paid a good price for him. He is now recovering from his owners from what they did to him. Charging a high price does nothing to guarantee anything when it comes to owning a puppy. All I am having to do is pay for his medical care, so does this make him any less to me? No it doesn't, when I called this breeder a few weeks back she and I discussed a female, I could not bring myself into getting one. I held out anyways because I was determine to bring a male baby in my home. I have found $350-1500 yorkies, but not what I was looking for. Due to the parents looks or overweight, to the puppy , also SHIPPING, I did not want to ship a puppy, and driving forever. This breeder's male is the reason I called her, because I wanted a puppy off of him. She did not have any, well nothing short of a miracle happened and now i am getting my baby on the 20th. And I am driving 6 hours round trip to pick my baby up.

i am only talking about the yorkie and poodle mix and maltese. that is my only experience.. i would not mix any other breeds personally. but we should not be too judgemental of others. i have a friend who is looking to rehome 2 min pins. one male and one female. not altered. i think they are still puppies. but will stay small. it is a rescue situation possibly very soon.. pm me if interested.. ne ohio ![]() ![]() as a new breeder.. i would never want another breed in my house..got my hands full already especially with gus

| HAHA no Chino ( you know Chino, CA) is what we are calling our new yorkie that we are picking up this month on the 20th. Chino is going in for a neuter this coming Tuesday, something the owners were suppose to do when they adopted him. Chino has finally gained to where he is 5.4 lbs now....hopefully he will gain a little more before next week. I would never bred a yorkie...but that again is just me ME. |

| What I didn't understand is breeding a yorkie with a doberman???? Somehow that just isn't right. I seen this mix on Kijiji here in Canada. I was really thrown to see two breeds clearly not compatible yet were bred together??? For what reason? Because someone thought it would be a new breed? HMMM I wonder ![]()

| you made me laugh, I just recently went into a place where there was 2 yorkies and I swear they acted like they were guarding the place the way they were carrying on. This is the fourth time I typed this ........what the heck. Last edited by yorkieisme; 09-03-2008 at 09:43 AM. |

I think that generally speaking, that most of the time cross breeding these 'designer dogs' is an easy way out for unscrupulous breeders. It's easy to justify breeding when you don't have anyone to answer to--no set standards to worry about meeting, no hassles with having to keep records for registrations, no paperwork to worry about, etc...just attach a cute name to it, show a cute pup because let's face it--ALL puppies are cute. Problem solved.
