| Ahh...honey, I think you got a little love bug ![]() I too wanted a tiny, and I thought TJ and Roxy were going to stay really tiny. But they grew and really turned out to be the perfect size for us and our lifestyle. Roxy is 5 lbs and TJ is 7 lbs Don't worry about her weight, she will be a perfect fit for your family, trust me! |

| I thought my Jester would be a tiny dog...I met his parents...Dad weighed 4 1/2 lbs., Mom weighed 5 1/2 pounds. My best friend owns his full blooded sisters from different litters, one who weighs 3.3 lbs. and one who weighs 4 lbs. We also have friends that own siblings from this pairing...none weighing over 5 lbs. Jester is 18 mos. old now and weighs 9.3 lbs.! I couldn't love him more! He and my Frankie...who is 22 weeks and weighs 3.5 lbs. are like Frick and Frack...they run and play and wrestle around, but he's gentle with Frankie. I also have Bijou who was my first yorkie. I purchased him from the breeder my sister bought her yorkie from. She lives in another state and I never met his parents. The breeder told me he would be between 3.5 and 4.5 lbs. When he came home at 12 weeks he weighed 1.6 lbs. Today he is 3 1/2 years old and weighs 5.7 lbs. I am not disappointed in any of my yorkies...I love them all the same! | my Tootie is a wonderful 16 1/2 lbs.... he is FANTASTIC! I dont worry about him near as much as I do Hope(who is 5 1/2 lbs)... I think he is perfect, I can still hold him, but he is big enough to romp around with my lab... I have the best of both worlds and love it! d

| I thought Maximus would be 7 lbs fully grown. I saw both his parents, and he's bigger than both of them. He's 13 lbs, but I think he's perfect for me! He goes on 4 mile walks with me, and I love the company.

| My little girl who just recently passed at 3 yrs of age was 2 1/2 lbs and my baby boy who is 2 yrs old is 3 1/2 almost 4 lbs. I think weight does have some to do with their health. My girl would get a chill from the cold and be sick for days. My boy could eat led though and still chase ya around the house, nothing gets him down |

| Thank you for the info ![]() I have never been to anything like that before, it would be great to check it out. As far as my baby girl, I still cry everyday. The vet is trying to replace her with a female Maltese, which Im considering, but just don't know if its the right time yet. |

| Mika is 8lbs and not quite 5 months old yet! To me she seems tiny, I also have a Staff and an Old English Sheepdog aswell as 4 children! I can't imagine having a super tiny dog running around, Mika was already 3lbs at 8wks and I could'nt wait for her to grow so I'd stop "losing" her round the house!LOL! I wanted a tough little dog, full of attitude. Thats my Mika!

| Can i confess something? When i started looking for a yorkie, i wanted a tiny tiny dog (i was thinking 3lbs). But when i met Chewie for the first time, i totally fell in love with him even tho the breeder said he may be 5lbs, i didn't care... i wanted to take that baby home. He's 8 months old now and still just 3.5lbs.... and now i actually wish he was bigger. I feel really guilty now for being apart of that demand for tiny dogs - causing people to breed tiny unhealthy dogs. I am lucky that Chewie is pretty healthy despite his small size, but i constantly worry about him getting hurt - someone could step on him, children could hurt him during play, a big bird could snatch him up, another dog could pretty much eat him up, if he licks a tiny bit of poison he could die... they are so fragile because of their small size. When you fall in love with your dog, you end up just wanting them to be happy and healthy... and it makes me sad to know i was part frenzy for a "purse dog". So now, if i ever get another yorkie, i'd want a big mutant yorkie |

| Pepper is 10 months old and weighs in at 10.5 lbs. Funny thing is her mom weighed 4 lbs and the dad weighed 3 lbs, her brother is half her length and half her weight. Turns out the grandma is a teapot at 8-9 lbs and whelps 7 pups at a time. I wanted a smaller yorkie also but now that I have her I wouldn't have it any other way. She definitly is less prone to accidents and injuries and she can hold her own with the big brothers (45 and 20 lbs). It really does ease my mind when they play.

| Suzi is 5 1/2 months old... She weighs 7.5 lbs. I am glad she is not a tiny yorkie. However, she is long and looks very good. She is not fat or anything. I am sure she will still put on more weight.

| I had my first little of Yorkies on March 16th. The two puppies are now 5 months old. Lea, the girl, weighs 5.5 pounds and Bubba, the male, weighs 12 3.4 pounds!!!!! He looks like an Airedale. Our female, Lizzy, is a larger Yorkie weighing in at about 9.25 pounds and the male we mated to was 5.5 pounds. I saw both of the parents when we bought Lizzy and they were about 6 pounds. Has anyone else had such a large puppy at that young of an age?? He is a fine dog but very large! The new owners love that he is big and able to handle the grandchildren. |
