| I was a bit overwhelmed at first with my pup. It was a little scary and I was so sleep deprived. As the months have gone on we are in more of a routine and it is so much better. I'm glad you decided to keep Leo. |

| Hi Jenna. I am so glad you have decided to keep Leo...it is so warming when you see their happy little faces greet you. They just appreciate so much what you do for them and they truly do show it..that unconditional love ... I agree that if you are putting his crate in a playpen, leave the door open to it, put some pp pads in the playpen so if he does have to go before youget home, he can use the pads...this will train him to use the pads and soon he be out of his crate/pen more and roam the house, having pp pads to go on "if" he needs to.. Best of luck to you and we're here for you with whatever support you need. If you ever need a pet sitter, do not hesitate to contact me!!! I'm right around the corner..

I also wanted to say what a pleasure it has been to read this thread and see all of the POSITIVE responses. Almost everyone was sensitive to what the OP was feeling and gave great advice. I am glad to see that little Leo is getting a second chance. I have a feeling that you will be happy with this choice in the long run. I have had Cooper for 2 months and he has JUST starte sleeping through the night. He's a lot cuter after eight hours of sleep! | |

YT 3000 Club Member | When I first got Chester I was the same after several days, but I stuck it out and Im so glad I did, I love chester more than life itself. I took him to two different friends house until he was older. I started leaving him at home alone at 5 months or so. I remember all the playing and napping and cuddling that we did. I hope that you are able to keep him, bit if it is too much, then dont beat yourself up, be kind to yourself, this too shall pass. |

| Glad you decided to keep your husband too! LOL! Who was harder to house train though, the husband or the dog?

| When we are both at home and sitting on the couch,Leo runs to me most of the time since wed nite.He falls asleep on my lap each time after he plays and is worn out.My husband and i both are taking care of him and we love him very much.Im with Leo more and hubby gets home around 7pm each nite after work. He has been a great help and im learning a lot from him because he knows so much about dogs. I left him in the pen today,he has his bed, water and toys.i feed him in the morning and then at nite around 6. Im getting used to having that little guy around. We are going to give him his first bath tomorrow and we might meet the other yorkie couple on sun. Also last nite Leo went into our bathroom and peed on his pad.I have pads everywhere, they are so usefull. anyway i will post more pics soon |
