but i do have to disagree with you.....we DO NOT see yorkies like her's winning in the show ring. I am sorry but NO. And regarding the health issues of breeding tinies purposely....some may live a healthy life but MOST will not. And what about the mommies??? Most of them probably have c-section after c-section to have these puppies. Very Sad. There is a huge difference from a puppy who just came out small and one who is bred to be small.

In any case, having a small Yorkie that is healthy is not comparable to purposely breeding small dogs to get small dogs. I think that when people make statements regarding small Yorkies being unhealthy, they refer more to people who are breeding them down with nothing but $$$ in their sights--clearly the dogs' health and well being are not being put first....but the same could be said for any breeder just trying to capitalize...regardless of the size pups being produced. I'm sure there is alot that web sites don't show you that can only be assumed, but at the same time, there ARE going to be some things that you don't have to experience 'in person' in order to make an accurate statement. A 2.5 lb female being bred is just that--website or in person, makes no difference. A large number of dogs being bred is just that--website or in person, makes no difference. It is what it is. | |

| ![]() [QUOTE=lisatodd;1652575]everyone is just expressing their opinions here. that's it. you are the only one who seems to be getting upset over this. QUOTE] Yeah, what gives, we all have opinions and this is the place to share them. No one is bashing, just giving our opinion on what we see on the site. Such as the tour of the kennel, all you see is a large yard and an outside play area, you don't actually see inside the kennel. Could you be affiliated with this kennel mryorkiecrazy? |

It's one thing to buy a tiny yorkie that happened to show up in a litter - it's another thing to breed it and put its life at risk

| ![]() Just curious.....does anyone know the price range she's asking for these tiny babies? I noticed she didn't list on her website. Many times we see the tiny ones going for what.....$2500+? That could be a sign of breeding tinies for the big bucks first...not saying this breeder does & I won't comment on her specifically since I don't know her....

| ![]() That website was a big TURN OFF!!!!! What's the difference between that Kennel and a puppy mill? Mass breeding. Personally, it's important to me when buying my dog to get one that was raised in a family environment. Did you see the the Sires that was only 1 lb 10 oz. That's way too small. |

| ![]() Also under sires, she has a couple of them that are 13 years old.. ![]() I just went through all the dams and sires, and NONE of them do anything for me...Puppies are cute, but, like I've said before, all puppies are cute.. Last edited by hha; 01-06-2008 at 03:30 PM. |

| ![]() I think it's REALLY funny that you folks see the pictures of the kennels and BELIEVE that they are not that prestine all the time. However, you do BELIEVE the weights she states of her dams and sires. ![]() |

Though we've been watching this breeder for some time, we will visit her with due respect and a cautious but open mind. I expect breeders to expect no more or no less. I think the poster meant that it is surprising that anyone on YT would not see all of the red flags here. The dogs are too tiny for breeding, there are way too many of them to be cared for like Yorkies require and the dogs are not of quality to be used for breeding. Pet quality dogs should not be used for breeding, that is one reason reputable breeders have spay and neuter requirements. We all need to consider more than just a cute pup. Consider the breeding program you want to support. |

THE DOGS ARE CUTE BUT THAT'S THE HOOK..THE DOGS LIVING IN THE SHEDS ARE NOT HAPPY.. THEY ARE LITTLE PUPPY MACHINES.. ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() Ok, here's another take to show it can go either way and that there are no guarantees... Sad story warning - Many years ago, we belonged to an AKC kennel club. One active member of this club was a lady who raised and showed Great Danes. She had 7 Danes living IN her house. All things considered would lead one to believe she was a truly responsible pet owner and breeder. She told us, quite openingly, that she had recently bred one of her bitches for a particular color for showing. Her dam had 11 puppies... none the sought after color. They were, however, otherwise all quite normal, healthy, and excellent specimens of the breed. But there were not the sought after color. She could have had the local paper run a free ad but all it would have said was "free dog". She could have posted posters. She could have given them away from various parking lots and places. No. Instead, she chose to put them in paper bags and freeze them. It just goes to show you that sometimes you just can never tell. |
