| Even the strong and sturdy (and healthy) tinies require a little extra caution so they stay that way. I would hope that people wouldn't deny this and endanger their little ones. Yorkies are fragile little dogs, tiny Yorkies are even more so. Unfortunately a lot of sad stories on this website confirm this. |

His biggest issue is making sure he is warm, eats enough and making sure his sugar levels don't bottom out. And I am scared to death of something falling on him, just anything falling off the table could do him in. So it is basically like a newborn pups care. He loves to play like a normal pup but there are limitations that if I let him play too much, too long etc he will not have the energy to eat. So he is on special care This is a link to him after he had crashed and was back up and at his normal self. http://www.prestigeousyorkieswv.com/lilbit1229.html Deana Prestigeous

Potty training is an art form with this breed but it can be done. I think the tinies can be easier if they use potty pads. The thing that makes it hard is they are so small it is hard to notice when they are doing a potty dance to go outside. Shelby uses potty pads and she was a breeze to train. She is also the most cuddly dog you could ever imagine. And she loves everyone, thinks that everyone is out for a walk in the mornig to see her and she greets them accordingly.Which is one more reason not to make size so important that you forget all that other stuff. Like temperment and beauty of the breed. It's a package deal when you buy from a good breeder. Last edited by shelbysmom; 01-04-2008 at 01:00 PM.

That would be awesome This is a link to Lil Bit where he is better groomed. I don't bath him as much because the slightest stress can cause for a bad day. Long nights with getting up every two hours for feedings alot of times you just can't sleep from the stress. I just hope that someone who reads this will realize that you don't want a puppy from a breeder that is willing to breed little delicate girls and cut them open everytime for a CSection so they can have a little puppy. If you desire a little one, find someone who happens to have a runt. Its best to get one after 6 months or 9 months is even better on the small ones. Deana Prestigeous
