| ![]() I was out of town today, but several times throughout the day, I stopped and said a prayer for Delilah along with all the other lost babies.

| ![]() Tissy, My heart and prayers go out to you. This Christmas I had family from out of state in town. I went to the grocery store and when I returned my family said Rocky was missing....Someone must have gone in/out and he snuck out undetected. This was the day after Christmas at 11 AM in the morning. Long story short Rocky was returned back to me at 9 PM that evening. Best advice I can give you is to make flyers up on bright pink, orange or yellow paper....bright to catch peoples attention. Tack or tape them up on every phone pole or metal light pole on the main street of your house and every street that branches off from it 3+ mile radius. Lady that found Rocky was driving down my main street and of course he didn't have his harness on since I had just bathed him that morning (he is microchipped though). She was late for work, so she took him with her and called me that evening when seeing the flyers on her way home. Early last year my little escape artist got out with his harness and tags on and he went missing for 5 days. I flooded my neighborhood with the bright yellow, orange and hot pink flyers on all poles within 3+ miles. Also listed my address on the flyer and had 2 flyers put on my mailbox post on both sides. Day five a lady drove down my driveway and told me a lady in her mothers day out program mentioned she had found a small Yorkie, but could not find the owners...She mentioned to this lady it looked like her family was going to keep it. This lady described the Yorkie and it sounded like my Rocky. She mentioned she saw all of my flyers and she wanted to double check with me and give me this lady name and phone number for me to contact. I called the number and I never got a return call...By the evening I googled her name and found out she lived only 3 blocks away from me. I drove to her house and long story short, she had my Rocky. She had bought food, a bed, toys and had no plans of ever returning him. I was very upset with her that of the 10 flyers on her street and all streets leading two and from, she never did the right thing in returning Rocky. I attribute flooding my neighborhood with all the bright flyers to getting Rocky back. If it werent for that nice lady who saw my flyers and then noticed a person in her mother's day out program finding a Yorkie, I don't think I would have gotten him back. Please keep the faith, and walk/talk with your neighbors and kids. They can get the word out and you can also offer a reward. Again, my prayers are with you. |

| ![]() These little ones can stray farther than you might expect them to...I had a friend that lost their toy poodle..He was gone for weeks and they got him back...She was sure she would never see him again...Also had a neighbor that lost their Italian Greyhound, we are in the country so we feared something has gotten her...She was also gone for weeks...They are both back home with their loved ones...Sometimes when they are afraid they won't come to someone strange calling them...They eventually do and hopefully then someone will see you are looking for her!...Still praying for her safe return! ~Laura

| ![]() Tissy, can you please summarize what you have done so far to find Delilah? I know you put an ad in the paper, and you have put up some posters. That's good. Have you been to all the vets in the area and to the humane society, dog pound, etc? Have you gone door-to-door in your neighborhood? |

She first asked me to provide all shot records, etc, because she didn't feel comfortable he was mine. I then described a birth mark on his belly that is very unique. She then mentioned she would prefer to wait until Monday and talk to my vet. This was a Saturday after 5 PM....OK, That's when I threatened to call police. She closed her front door for about 4 long minutes and came out with Rocky. Min later her husband asked how much does a dog like him run....This man was total SLIME. I reached out took Rocky from his wife and thanked them as I walked Rocky back to the car. Very sad that there are people like this in our world. Very important when a pet has gotten out, to flood the are w/flyers, call animal control, spca, all vets in your are, talk to your neighbors and even people you don't know to get the word out. Keep flyers up even if you think it's too late. Good to know that good out weighs bad. Some how the lady who notified me, knew there was something fishy about this women. | ![]() Wasn't looking for this today, but found numerous websites that offer help and other ideas for finding a lost dog http://www.lostdogsearch.com/index.htm lots of good info & links to other sites This is one of the website links - you can register your lost dog here: http://www.lostdogsdatabase.com/ others links offer the same services. Thinking some of this should be added to the sticky for how to find a lost yorkie Praying for Deliah's safe return Perhaps knocking on doors is important - perhaps you would hear her bark

-Date lost -Breed, male or female, description -Your address (lady mentioned this helped) -Phone number If enough people see these flyers, there is bound to be someone who may have seen it, or know of somone who recently has been caring for one. If you notice someone has taken the flyers down, then start putting them back up. | |
