Hi Tissy this deaf, but spunky, hound missing since New Year's Eve was returned to his home in Gulfport on Saturday, and reunited with his owner Helen Margiotta, who also is deaf. A Good news story!! Maybe yours is next!!!

Yes, have done all of the above. also plan to post flyers at all the local schools as soon as they open. I live 20 miles from the nearest shelter. I live in a rual area and there is not even animal control in my little town.

Tissy, you are doing a marvelous job. And I sometimes worry that all of our "stay positive's" can get unnerving, because it's you that has to do the work and live it day to day. But know that there are still so many prayers and good thoughts for Delilah coming home. Having never lost anyone (fur or skin), I don't know "when" the magic moment is that, while keeping good thoughts and faith, you turn back to the other parts of your life that have been neglected. And I don't know "how" one does that either. I don't know that you're at that point yet, as there are so many happy stories well within and beyond your time frame, but I wanted you to know that we're not here to "stay positive" you to annoyance. While we will not let you give up hope , only you will know when you've done absolutely everything that you can do and can only wait for your baby to come home to you. Keep the faith.......

It seems this thread has brought out almost every member of the board, because this situation ranks among all of our worst nightmares. I am just seeing this for the first time today, but I went through every page looking for your posts Tissy hoping for good news.

I've been in your shoes, and went to bed on a cold night not sleeping and wondering where Mika was. It turns out that she was in our backyard all the time wedged between the storm drain and the fence. We found her by sheer accident the following morning.

My heart goes out to you sweetie that is all I can say. I'm still hoping for something....there are lots of stories out there where they turn up under the strangest of circumstances. We can still all pray for a miracle.

Well, got my one and only call about the ad placed in the paper. My heart leaped until she said the dog she found was a little white dog. It amazes me that so many people do not know what yorkies look like.

Aweeee, prayers are certainly being said for your lil girl. I hope you find her soon or that she's safe inside someones home who will look for her owner and return her.

When my golden retriever was missing and i got calls about different dogs i always went and looked because one person's idea of a color or size or hair length is different from anothers there is always that chance. Has the ad ended? If so it is always worth running again and also if there are any towns close to you i would run it there to that is what i did but know all the towns surrounding us have combined to one news paper so it does make it alot easier.

I'm wondering is someone could have her, and not know they have a yorkie

Oh this does not suprise me at all. When I lost my dachshund, I got more calls from people that found a dog, but it was not a dachshund. I also put in the ad, that she was a miniature dachshund, under 8lbs. I got calls from from people and the dogs they found were 25-45 lbs. The last call I got from a woman, who said, I think I have your dog. I said, is it a mini dachshund? She said, "I think so". So yes, I bet there are a lot of people that do not know what a Yorkie looks like. We all find that hard to believe, as we all have Yorkies, but I guess there are people out there that do not know what a Yorkie is. Any way, can you make a copy of her and put it with the flyer?
What ever you do, I want you to know we are all still here, praying for you and little Delilah. We will not leave you.

I agree that you should call Animal Control...once Pepper got away and the dog catcher picked her up about 10 minutes later and told me I was lucky I called because a little friendly dog like her would be scooped up very quickly. Good luck!

I am so sorry to post again with still no news on Delilah's whereabouts. Though I have not posted regularly on this thread, I have been back many times looking for that special post from you.
