| YEAH! She used the bell! I've been trying to bell train Piper to go outside. She has shown no interest in the bell at all. She would sometimes go to the door and stand there and if I didn't notice her after a few second then she may pee. Well tonight (whether she did it on purpose, I don't know and I don' care) she went stood by the door and then hit the bell. I was sooo excited. Of course she got tons of praise! I have noticed she does better with potty training when needing to poop then pee. Anyone else notice this with their puppy? |

| That is great! I'm trying to bell train Lulu as well. So far, she won't ring it on her own & she only goes to the door about 25% of the time when she needs to go. I honestly don't give her much opportunity to go to the door or ring the bell though, if I really think about it. I always watch her closely...wait for the signs she needs to go then I take her to the door, help her ring the bell, & then take her out. I'm hoping she catches on soon. Lulu will go to the door mostly when she has to poo. So, I guess it's similar to what you are talking about with your puppy. Potty training is hard & very time consuming but I know it will be worth it in the long run.

Congratulations! I remember the first time AprilLove rang the bell on her own. I was sooo excited and she got soooo excited seeing me get soooo excited!!! lol Are you taking her to the bell, and ringing it or touching her paw to it each time you take her out for potty? I did this the first couple weeks with our training, along with using the word "potty" and soon she did it on her own. Just keep at it, soon you will be amazed at just how quickly she picks up on it

| My lil Piper is so subtle in telling me she has to go out. If I ask her she goes crazy and barks like..yes yes yes. I have been thinking about the bells too. So glad you are making progress! WTG |

| I truly hope it wasn't an accident and she did it on purpose But at the same time, I do keep her tethered to me most of the time, so she doesn't have a ton of chances to ring it. I was just SO excited |

| That's great! Our Lindi is the only one that has caught on to ringing the bell. She did it one day when we were having dinner and she wanted to go out. We were so surprised how smart she was to catch on to this so quickly. |

| Update: She has used the bell twice more now, once to go poop and once to go pee. BUT she has also been peeing more on the carpet for accidents before I catch her while before if she has any accidents it was on the tile flooring in the kitchen....grrrr. I realized today, watching the process of her ringing the bell is that I think she can hold her poop longer so she has time to look at the door, think, and then ring the bell, where as with pee, when she has to go she has to go. Overall, I am just excited that she kind of gets it |

| I'm glad the bells are working for you! Fynnlie has NO issues with pooping in the house. Peeing, though, that's another story. We're working on it but it's not going so great... Good luck and congratulations!

| Another update! She uses the bell pretty regularly now, even though some times she just will stare at the bell...not sure if she thinks that she has magic powers and can make it ring without touching it She is still having a few accidents, but overall, I LOVE that she can not literally tell me when she needs to go outside. |

| Jenny, this is great news! It's very encouraging for me. Can you share how you trained her with the bells? I've had the bells for about 2 weeks now & Lulu still won't use them on her own. So I'm open to any tips.

| Are you using a Tell Bell or hanging bells? I think it's so incredible to communicate this way. Cooper has been ringing the bell for 2 years and I'm currently trying to train Max. Wait until she doesn't stop ringing that bell
