"In The Dog House" hate thread

There was another Victoria on as well. It had two Yorkies. It was great. She really is amazing, always so calm and uses that very soft voice.

I have not seen this show or a commercial for it. Sounds like I wouldn't like it either.

Has anyone on here ever met Brad Pattison? And if so what was it like? I have only seen him on the T.V. and on his facebook videos. I have to say i don't like how he talks to people nor do i like how he is with the dogs. Like i know it's only a 30 min show, but how does one get a dog trained like that, and what was use to make the dog behaved at the end of the 30 min show. Like i have trained all of my dogs and i for one know it is no easy task and it takes a lot of time to get to where my dogs are now. I have only used positive method with no food or toy just straight praise. So, again has anyone one here ever met him, and is he the same as he is on T.V.?

I posted early in this thread that I have had the pleasure of failing to hire him to work with my dogs. He is not anything I let near my dogs at all. HE is not positive based in his training what so ever. So yes I have meet the fellow.

So what you are saying. Is that he is an a** in person as he is on T.V. ? He looks like he can be.

I would not call anyone that name ever.
I would say he is not a postive based trainer and I would not hire him to work with my dogs. As he is not. I 'd say that to his face so I can post it here.
As I would not say that word to his face or anyones elses. It is does not in any way apply to him.

Looks like someone that is looking for a law suit by dragging someone into saying something they should not... FYI seen it done before so again not calling anyone a name at all and also very clearly he is not positive based in training and I would not hire him because of that.

Oh don't worry, she's a newbie and this is the first thread that she's responded to, I don't think she's looking to sue you. She was just asking if he was as obnoxious in person as he is on TV, even if you agreed with her, no one could sue you for that.

Actually Nancy there is a Canadain Lady in court right now for saying on line in a group that she got her dog from a puppy mill. Just how sick the puppy is. She got SPCA support but she getting nailed for slander. So watching what one says and getting baited into a slip like agreeing someone is an a&& is in Canada can get you big time trouble. There are a few trying it out to see if they can push the ruling to get people to say someone is not a good trainer or breeder and it not fun up here right now.
At least on this side of the boarder.

It may not be public out side the puppymill groups but there is fund raising going on to help her.

So while you may have laughed at the post thinking I was right out there, when if fact this is a growing concern for those of us that advocate strongly for no puppy mills and also gentle training methods.

I am not a fan of his in case that's what your getting at. I don't like how he treats people nor do i like how he treats dogs. As i only use positive training methods when i train dogs. And there is no food just praise. So i would say that i'm a positive trainer without treats. I would also say this to his face if and when i ever would run into him which would not happen in the first place as i stay far away from trainers who do not use a positive method. So i hope this has cleared up any misunderstanding or in case you may think i'm a fan of his.

Oh my gosh, I just watched that video. That poor dog! What is wrong with the patting the floor in front of the dog saying 'down' then praising when they lay down method??? It works, and the dog decides to do it, so everyone is feeling good about themselves. That poor dog was just wishing it were somewhere else. Not the relationship I want with my dog.

Sorry. I just don't like his way of training, but everyone is to their own. I try to edit the last post, but i'm still trying to figure this all out here. I just wanted people to know that i'm not a fan of his nor do i follow his methods, it might have come out wrong up above in my last post, but this is what i meant.

Calling someone's breeding practices a puppy mill could be construed as slander, calling someone a name such as "a**, isn't considered slander, it's just an opinion. We are still free to call people names, just as long as they aren't members of the forum! I was just trying to reassure you that this new member wasn't setting you up. You seemed a little suspicious. Besides, the way she did it would be considered entrapment! Again, I wasn't laughing at you, and I meant no offense.

I am not a fan either and as I said having meet him I would not hire him.

Just to make sure you understand just be very careful if you are a Canadian how you say things about a canadian on line. As we are now all open to getting our tail ends kicked for now.
Law change or differnt way to read the law says we can not say anyhting even with proof that will smudge anpthers rep.
We can totally not like his method of training just say it with great care.
