| ![]() You do not have to show to know what is show quality..but you do need to spend a lot of time at dog shows and making friends with show breeders...you really need hands on, not just reading and looking at pictures in books. It is not true that reputable breeders never sell for breeding...many show breeders will help a serious fancier who proves them self trustworthy..but rarely will any sell to a non-standard color breeder, with good reason. Am I the only person who thinks chocolates have a weak eyed look...I have never cared for them, sorry...they remind me of a poodle..but we all know I am a dyed in the wool Yorkie snob! I admire all dogs, but only some dogs are fortune enough to be born a Yorkie...and for this reason we do all we can to preserve the standard. |

| ![]() It is my choice as the breeder to say whether you will breed my dog or not...it is your decision whether to agree or not...right? |

I have seen some really cute chocolates, but a lot of them do have a wierd looking expression. But that's my opinion, and like I said, I have also seen some cute ones.

I have accomplished some of the happiest placements of puppies and smiles on the faces of happy families! ![]() You did not see the word "rare" on my website. But if people cannot find one of any certain color, (like chocolate) in any and every breeder's whelping box, then.............................................. ...

| ![]() Yep...a breeder has a responsibility to make sure their puppies are going to the best homes possible. Most people aren't qualified to breed (even if a ton of people do). There is so much to learn if you are to safely breed and even then there can be serious complications that arise. I don't think I could live with myself if I sold a puppy with full registration to someone who decided to breed it (and didn't know what they were doing) and then the dog died.

I do realize occassionally these off colors are born and should get a good home, but shouldnt their papers have been limited so that we continue to uphold the breed standard?? Last edited by tiggerr36792; 09-14-2007 at 04:11 PM.

Choclates are cute, but they to me are not rare, just different same as the pati, briewers all are just so adorable, But I myself love all dogs. yes even all the mix ones. But would rather stay in the standard look. when looking for a Yorkie I my self want to stay with good health, quality and in the standard.

My purpose was to put my website on as I said when I was threatened in a PM that a person would expose my website because this person thinks that "most are against breeding tiny dogs for large profits." This person's exact words.
