Kas,
I read through this post and I have to say I have tears running down my face. Not for you (sorry) but for your little girl and those poor unborn pups. It is very sad to see from your post that you must not really care about her at all. Everyone that has posted on here has stressed the extreme importance of getting her to your vet. But you just aren't listening. Calling your vet on the phone really does no good, that would be like calling your own Doctor and getting a diagnosis over the phone. Doctors and Vets have to physically see you or the dog in order to give a more accurate Diagnosis. Like you have already been advised She is in Labor if she is having contractions. Waiting to take her in tomorrow could possibly lead to her death from infection because if she is in Labor then Like you were told the pups will die from lack of Oxygen.

I think she is laughing at at the excitement of everyone...no one could be that clueless if so she would be running scared to the vet..i pray this is a sick joke

Please listen to your heart and gut. This little girl needs to be seen by a vet. If your vet will not see her, take her to a different one that will. It is so much cheaper to take her in now and make sure all is well then to have to rush her to the ER tonight with problems.

I think this is for real and yes Ive seen people be pretty naive when it comes to breeding on here. Im hoping she listens to the experienced breeders on here and gets her girl to a vet before ikts too late. I have been anxious about this thread all day

WHY won't you take her in now? If it's money or some other reason - is it worth losing this girl and her puppies? Is it worth making her suffer helplessly?

I think because animals produce young in the wild all time, people think there's nothing to get excited about. People don't realize that when man domesticates an animal, man does have to stay involved in the breeding and whelping process. A large percentage of the time, there is no problem, and many inexperienced breeders tell newbie breeders, "Don't worry, it's a breeze". You have to know the warning signs, and act quickly. I'm not sure what type of advice the OP is getting through PM's or other forums.

True, and I dont know what vet would tell someone they have to wait untill the next day when the dog has been in labor since the previous day. I think its time for a different vet. But I think we are all just beating our head against the wall and the Op isnt hearing us so most likely whats gonna happen is gonna happen. I knew we were in trouble this morning when she said she gave the momma cows milk

Is it possible though for the momma to be in labor for over 24 hrs and no pup?

I cannot for the life of me understand why a vet would want to wait any length of time knowing there is a dog in whelp and may be having problems. I sure hope she brought her girl to another vet.

Nope....I'd be very surprised if these pups are alive now.

This is what happens when someone is inexperienced, learns everything off the internet.

Experienced breeders know when they're in trouble...immediately grab their girl and run to the vet. If the vet doesn't attend to them immediately....they go on a screaming rampage until they do......But, then most experienced breeders pick their vets by their knowledge and know the dangers of waiting and it'll never get to the screaming point.
