| ![]() All we can do is pray......but, this little girl has been having shivers since yesterday. I tried to get her to take her into the vet yesterday. I'm trying to get the gravity of this situation into her head. She's new, all that she's learned about breeding is what she's read on here or on other sites.

| ![]() If she's been in labor since before 7:00 A.M. and no pups yet I would not wait till tomorrow to see the vet. Tomorrow is way too long to wait for a C-section, if she doesn't get a pup out very soon and you wait till tomorrow you could loose Mom & pups. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() I hope so too, I've seen this happen so many times before, but the OP chooses to ignore the replies. Then we get a post that the puppies have died, and it's as if no one ever learns from the situation. ![]()

| ![]() Hope she has been taken to the vet by now. Would hate to see this dog die or the pups when it could have been avoided. I would rather waste the money on a vet visit just to ease my mind then to risk losing mom or the puppies. Still praying that all is well. |

| ![]() I'm just catching up on this. I see the OP's light is on. OP, if you are online, get off now and get that girl to the vet so she can be assessed. Going by your posts, something isn't right and no one here can help you. You're having trouble just knowing what labor is and you should not trust yourself to see your girl through this. You need a qualified person that is actually there with your girl...not internet advice. For your girl's sake, and the pups, GET TO THE VET NOW!!

| ![]() Thank you all for your concern, but we talked to the vet and they said to take her in tomorrow. I know, you're probably thinking, "Tomorrow? She needs to go now!" thats what i thought! We gave her a calcium tablet- (we couldnt get the paste)and its funny how she got it! We tried to force it down her throat, and she spit it out eventually. Then she was looking at us with a look that said "I'm watching you!". Then we were going to have her sniff it, and she snatched it right out of our hands and ate it! It would've been funnier if you were there. Im scared for her, and I dont think Bailey knows whats going on. She cant stand, and she wont eat (but i know thats normal) Thanks for all your help and prayers!

Understand that you are putting your girl and her pups in real jeopardy by not taking her in NOW! Don't you get that?

Your dog is in trouble. Do you know that giving your girl calcium tablets prior to her whelping will shut down her natural abilities to produce calcium and will lead to a eclampsia. Have fun, because you will be bottle feeding, your girl will not be able to nurse because of this condition. What don't you get about you hold your girl's life and these pups lifes in your hand. Get her to the vet.....So, sad when someone is thinking about how not to spend money instead of saving a dog's life. This is animal cruelty. Nothing funny about your discription of your girl taking the tab......She is depending on you to make the right decision. Her not being able to stand is a sign of eclampsia, she has no calcium in her body, you are "KILLING" her. Why did you come on here asking for advice if you aren't willing to take it. The responsibility layes on your head now.....
