Destiny had a lot of trouble with her first puppy. She started passing a lot of green before the puppy was born and was having difficulty delivering. The puppy (girl) was 5 1/2ounces and came breach. The puppy got stuck and I had to pull her out. Luckily she made it and is doing just fine now.

The vet gave her an oxy shot to further things along and that really helped. She goes back in here in a few hours to make sure all the pups are out and all is well.

So we have:
1st puppy: Girl 5 1/2ounces
2nd puppy: Boy 5 1/2 ounces
3rd puppy: Girl 5 1/4 ounces

These are the biggest puppies Destiny's ever had. All her other pups were 4 ounces and under.

So all is well and turned out alright. Destiny's enjoying her pups right now.

Thanks everyone for your prayers, this has been a very long and difficult whelp.

glad to hear the good news on Destiny. There certainly have been some big babies this month. Glad she did not need a C section.

Now waiting to hear news about Livi. if she doesn't hurry Ollie will deliver before her.

Congratulations Tracey and Destiny!!! Three beautiful babies with nice healthy weights; I am so glad everything turned out well with no need for a C-section.

LOL!!!!! :D That is so true! I was telling my husband last night that she doesn't seem bothered by toting around all of these babies...no hurry at all. ;) She was showing signs earlier today, but now she is walking around the living room, wagging her tail and doing her playful growl at me...she does then when she wants my attention or when she is feeling playful...all the while, wagging that tail SUPER fast. oH my gosh.....now, I do not know if it will even be tonight. :confused:

Oh Tammy, your post here brought back memories of the day Halle had little Oscar.:) I went to work the morning of the day she had her puppy, leaving her in good hands with my hubby at home with instructions to call me the minute he even thought she might be in labor. He did call me a couple of hours later saying that she was acting "off" and not seeming to get comfortable anywhere. The reason for my story here is that when I got home to be with her, she was at the door to greet me, barking, dancing around, and yes................her tail was wagging a mile a minute!:D She had Oscar that very afternoon. So, just because they act like their normal selves one minute, doesn't mean they can't be whelping the next................:p

I'm so excited! We will be getting a female parti carrier puppy that is 12 weeks old. I didn't realize that when we named her Destiny, that someone on this group, would have the same name, sorry! We think she is adorable and can hardly wait to get her. :aimeeyork

Pretty sure that it looks like today we will no longer be "puppyless". :D We woke at 5am to Livi digging under our bed. She did eat a little bit of canned food for my husband this morning, but just a few minutes ago I offered a few bites of a boiled egg and she wouldn't take it...which is one of her favorite foods and she never turns that down.

So, I believe we are on our way....

Tammy good news, hope everything goes well.

Can't hear Ollies puppies this morning, so as little concerned. But was never positive that I was hearing them anyway. her due date is Thursday. Maybe they have changed positions.

Sorry for not updating sooner. I haven't been doing my son's preschool activites/lessons with him being sick last week and with Livi being due soon so I have been working with him this morning. Livi is still resting but I did get her to eat half an egg and I had to give her a quick mini bath because she lost her mucus plug. So far, there are no new signs, though....I just have her in the x-pen to rest and to keep from going under the furniture.

I will sign back on during my son's nap...maybe I will have more to share. :) I truly do think that tonight is the night, though!!

Jeanie, I really hope that you see some puppy faces this Thursday!! Does she look pregnant? I know some are able to "hide" the baby weight, though. Can't say that I was ever that lucky with own pregnancies. :p

Actually, not sure if it was the plug or just discharge....but none-the-less, she needed a bath. I felt bad because she doesn't feel like me giving her a bath, but it REALLY needed to be done. :(

Yes she looks pregnant and has been gaining weight. It's probably me just getting nervous. Nothing I can do about it anyway so doesn't pay to worry.
