Any Upcoming January Litters?
 

Hi all!!

I was wondering if anyone will be ringing in the New Year with puppies. I have been pretty certain that Livi was not pregnant...well, actually, I went back and forth a few times. She has kept me guessing. :) Now, I can pretty comfortably say that I do believe that she is going to have babies! :D Or I might be more correct to say baby because she is really small and only showing in one spot of her tummy. I could still be wrong about her, but I am crossing my fingers that her cute little tummy continues to blossom. She would be due Jan. 16th.

Anyone else expecting January babies?

Yeah Livi - Congratulations Tammy! My parti girl Panda will be due sometime after 1/11/09, she's bred to my little parti guy Remi.

I have a Beamer/Ollie litter due Jan 21. They will be golden carriers. She usually has 3 to 4.

I have ultrasounds scheduled. does that count??

But we have 3 beautiful biewers in the nursery whelped 2 weeks ago, so we are definitely enjoying puppies right now.

oh congratulations. I'm really missing puppies right now. With the last litters overlapping, I had puppies for 5 months, so once they were gone, I really missed them.

CONGRATS to everyone...sooooo exciting!!! Thank you all for the positive vibes and well wishes! I hope that we all have healthy and easy deliveries. I am BEYOND nervous/scared after what happened with Livi's first litter, but am hopeful that all goes better this time. So far, all I can tell is that she has one "walnut" shape on her right side....obviously it's too soon to know how many but I can only find the one. So maybe she will have just one....I don't care how many...just want things to go differently this time.

Anyone want to share tummy pictures? :) I loveeeee those....so sweet!

AWWW .... Look at that sweet belly. Keep us update with pictures. I love seeing them grow.

I weighed Livi this morning and she gained 3 and a half ounces snce yesterday morning. Is this even possible?! :eek: She has not even shown until a couple of days ago and even then, she was VERY small....and still thought that I could be wrong about her being pregnant. She will be 6 weeks tomorrow and now she is literally sprouting overnight!

Whatcha think??

I think it is possible, but that would definitely indicate more than one. This is when they start to put on weight..

Could be more than one.....they seem to pop just about the 6-7th week and then it goes bye very quickly.

I'll have a litter on January 1st .

Ollie is definitely starting to feel round. I think I'm going to strart tracking her weight just to see.

I like tracking Livi's....I also like to take tummy pictures to actually see the progress with each week. :)

I have a question for you TammyJM...

How often do you breed your dogs? I just read one of your posts that said you were selling one of Livi's male puppies in september. That would mean that Livi had another litter on her last heat! :thumbdown I hope you are spacing out your litters to once a year!! People who breed every heat are cruel to their dogs!:mad:

Have no idea why you would bother reading through my threads, but that's your choice. Livi's first litter was in June and I bred her again, then plan to skip one heat (possibly two)...if we even breed her again.

Thanks for your opinion, but it's not needed. I am BEYOND loving to my dogs!! Maybe you should read throug other peoples' threads as well....there are all sorts of opinions out there about what is the best and how often to breed.

Before posting anything about me and how I treat my dogs, please make sure that you read through more of them to see who I am. You asked how often I breed my dogs...first of all, I only own ONE dog that I have bred and I did research on what I personally feel is best for MY dog. You don't know me and how chose to breed my precious Livi is NONE of your business. I don't even owe you what I have written, but have done it because you have lumped into a category of "cruel". Why is that you decided to go through only my posts and pick through the ones of my one and only litter?? There are plenty of other breeders on this forum that do actually breed each and every heat....tell me why you picked me to read my threads.

I have a litter due around Jan. 29th. Abby usually has 3 or 4, though may have more this time. She is already starting to show and is only 5 weeks. Thought this is her 3rd litter in 3 years she may just be spreading out sooner than usual. As we all seem to do after the first one. haha:D

Oh, and I see that you have also been on my profile. What is your fascination with me and my dogs??

I was just curious to see what you were posting about breed as I am trying to learn about breeding from other breeders. That is all and that post that I read was right on top and it raised a red flag that you had a litter so close to the one you are about to have.

And this is why you were looking through my profile and threads and now posting on a thread about upcoming litters (even though you are not expecting puppies and say that you are not a breeder)...but somehow you found your way here and are questioning me about what I do. Go ahead, keep reading through my posts...it's all there....for you and everyone else. The fact that you picked me and no one else to ask this to...out of allllll of the VERY experineced breeders here, that raises a red flag about YOU.

Just so you know, YT has rules about creating more than one account. Just an FYI. Maybe I am off-base on this, but it does seem very odd to me that you have chosen to target my threads.

This thread is for people that are expecting litters in January. Are you?? If not, please take your accusations elsewhere.
