Have you thought of talking to your friend who got you into this mess? I think she is responsible for this breeding and in my opinion should be helping you out. Just a thought.

I know this is a tad off-topic, but is there anyway that you can rest while your children napping?? I am just asking because you are probably in desperate need of some quailty sleep! I know what I was like the week of Livi's delivery....a WRECK!!! I was just like you...worried over EVERYTHING! I literally had NO sleep whatsoever (maybe a couple of hours). I was so busy hovering and worrying about her and taking care of my two toddlers that I had no time left for me to take a breather. I didn't realize how important it would be until I had to get up alllllllllllll night long to supplement her newborn puppies.

I am concerned for your sweet dog, but also worried about you because I know how tired you are going to be.

Like I said, I understand your delima and this was not planned. But, there is a possibility that if something should happen during the night, you risk the possibility of losing the pups and their mom, hopefully it won't come to that but, thats the bottom line, so prepare yourself. Not being mean, but realistic.

.... I am not a breeder nor do I ever want the sweat and tears that go into breeding, which come's from year's of knowledge... I think everyone is trying to tell you sweetie is get her help, I do not honestly think that if you pull up to a vet with an emergency situation of an adult dog and puppie's in grave danger or near losing them, that any VET would not do anything they could to save the life just as human doctor's do, vet's also have an oath

i know....and i didget her in this morning....she's close but not there yet. that was at7 am. we've been home and shes been digging, blck runny stools, and shivering. so all i can do now is watch and wait

This all sounds like good progress -- the runny stools, digging, shivering. You are definitely on your way. AND it will be a day whelp!!! Yay for that.

She has spent so much time moving them down, that the births could go very quickly. Hang in there a little longer... best wishes to you and your baby.

YEA, signs are all good so far, hope today is the day, my girl started like that early and by 11 pm she had delivered all 5 pups.. so hoping your girl can deliver hers quickly too..

Do you have any NutriCal in the House, Karo Syrup or Goats Milk & Eggs?
Vanilla Ice Cream, Tums? Anything that can give her a boost of energy.

It certainly does sound like she is in labor. I hope and pray that this all ends well. Did the vet do an internal exam? Sometimes that helps get things moving.
