| I was very lucky with my litter. I work part time and hubby is home 24/7. He did most of the work once they were born. I know how you feel. I think we checked them every few minuets until they opened their eyes. It is very stressful. Good luck with them all. I am glad to hear the little boy is doing good. My babies did not even cry when their tails were docked and dewclaws were removed. My first one went home today with Kristy47. I was so glad another Yorkie Talk member gave her a wonderful home but it was very sad seeing her go. I just want to keep them all. Betty |

| Maggie vomited this morning Hey, I hand fed Maggie her food this morning. Then an hour later she vomited some up. Do you think it's because she's licking that betadine off the little puppy? |

| Temperature is normal Her poops are BIg! LOL They are solid, but not hard. As a matter of fact, when I went in to check her she had a poop and and puke. Maybe, I fed her too much this morning. ? I will wait til the afternoon and give her an egg. I will also try feeding her smaller portions. Thanks for such a quick response Mary! Another quick question. I told you I'm not going to breed again. My Nestle is 16 months old. She's had one heat in February. So she's probable due for second heat in August. Obviously, with what I went through with my Maggie I want to spay her. How's the recovery time? Should I try to get this done ASAP or wait til I'm finished taking care of Maggie? Are two patients two too many? |

Keep on eye on Maggie......don't let her go to long without food. It's only been a week since the pups, but the first 3 weeks are dangerous for her (eclampsia)

| My babies are 8 weeks old and it is all worthwhile when they come up wagging their little tails and climb all over you. I had someone send me a deposit and I actually found myself crossing my fingers that she wouldn't send it so I could keep the little one. LOL! Few more weeks until they can go home, but I don't think she will change her mind |

| Maggie's doing better Well, she's eaten twice since the vomiting this morning and she's kept everything down. The puppies are doing Awesome! They are gaining their 10% each day. They seem to nurse non-stop! I thought they were supposed to sleep alot, but so far they mostly nurse. LOL I hardly leave the room. I feel guilty to leave for more than an hour and someone is always here in the house. I feel like if Maggie has to stay in that hot bedroom, the least I can do is sit in there with her. Besides that, when she gets a break from nursing she looks at me as if to say, "O.k., Mom, lets go outside for a minute!" |

Maggie does leave the room often. It seems to me to be a "Catch 22" situation! Warm for the babies, but not too warm for the Momma! | |

| Breeding is not for the faint of heart, that's for sure. But, if someone really wants to breed they have to start at the beginning to become a "professional". I think that truth of the matter, is that not everyone is cut out to be a breeder. My first puppy born from my first litter, over 30 years ago, was also born with it's intestines outside of her body. She didn't make it, unfortunately, but the other five did make it. Regardless, that situation was entirely too traumatic for a first timer. Congrats on your litter!

This is a great advice !!! You can get a heating pad to put under the bed, make sure to leave a spot for the momma to go away from the heating pad if she feels like it.... Blessings !!!!

| 10% a day still? Just wondering, are the puppies still supposed to gain 10% of their weight each day? My smallest boy as 7.5 oz. yesterday and today he's 7.8 oz. Which means he 's off .4 oz. Should I be concerned? |
