| Our pups are 4 weeks old. It seems like 10% is a general guideline and occasionally a pup would be under and ocassionally a pup would be over. For me as long as they are gaining weight, nursing or eating, going potty and that the pups seem happy then I will be happy.

I've been wanting to let them out in my living room so they can play with mom and other dogs. I'm just worried because they're doing so good with pee pad training. Any suggestions? Thanks

He's fine....and you're doing great. Just make sure he isn't being pushed off his mom.

| You know, sometimes ignorance is bliss. We bought a male and female about 5 years ago. They were 1 1/2 yrs old and she had already had 2 litters. I made an appt to get her spayed and then she comes in heat and gets pregnant. I read what I could find, made her a box for whelping and was with her, on the phone with my vet, when her puppies were born. She only had 2. After reading all that could have gone wrong, I was very lucky we had no problems. But, we never wanted to go thru that again! We did not buy them to breed, so the vet recommended getting the male neutered first to give her body time to recover. As soon as possible, I had her spayed. My husband did not want me to since I had neutered Harley, but what if she got lost or stolen? She had 3 litters and was just 2 years old! I could not take the chance she would have to go thru that again. No, breeding is not for everybody, I would never do it again. |

I had to go back to work today. However, I left my 18 year old daughter home to watch and care for Maggie. You know you would think I gave birth! I can't wait to get home. I almost have separation anxiety!! No LOL to it!! | |
