Another quick question. I told you I'm not going to breed again. My Nestle is 16 months old. She's had one heat in February. So she's probable due for second heat in August. Obviously, with what I went through with my Maggie I want to spay her. How's the recovery time? Should I try to get this done ASAP or wait til I'm finished taking care of Maggie? Are two patients two too many?  |
If she's on schedule, her next cyle should possibly be around Oct. Nestle's bounce back time from a spay should be no more than a couple of days. The challange will be keeping her confined for 7 to 10 days. If she's prone to jumping around, keeping her from doing that will be the hardest part.
Keep on eye on Maggie......don't let her go to long without food. It's only been a week since the pups, but the first 3 weeks are dangerous for her (eclampsia)
