Breeding is not for the faint of heart, that's for sure. But, if someone really wants to breed they have to start at the beginning to become a "professional". I think that truth of the matter, is that not everyone is cut out to be a breeder.
My first puppy born from my first litter, over 30 years ago, was also born with it's intestines outside of her body. She didn't make it, unfortunately, but the other five did make it. Regardless, that situation was entirely too traumatic for a first timer.
