Any group of people can form a club and set any standards that they want, that does not mean that they get to control what others do. it ony means that they get to say who can join their club.

If the YTCA dopes not want to breed the colored yorkies than that's fien we aren't sayhing they have to, but they should not go out of the way to discredit what we are doing.

What if we started posting things about the traditional yorkies on our website. I have never heard of a parti that has had liver shunt issues, so that must be something strictly with the traditionals therefore people should not buy them.

it is just a group of people, they did not create the yorkie, they can set the standards for their club, but I do not belong to their club therefore I don't have to abide by their standards.

Thank you Donna. I feel the same way. There is no need when you point can be made in another way--particularly when others have already pointed out that it's offensive. (That's without even addressing the sudden use of the word "colored." ) That is why I say my discussion on the topic is done. I enjoy expressing views and hearing the other side as well as anyone, but when you are conversing with someone who's clear intent seems to be pushing buttons in such a manner....it's obvious nothing constructive will result. I don't consider myself to be an overly sensitive person, but somethings are just in poor taste.

I really don't know why they charged the price they charged but I felt it was worth it to get one that I knew the background. I guess you could say I paid the price for her expertise.

No one is comparing yorkies to jews, they are comparing the set standard to the standards that hitler set. I am very much a jewish and Israel supporter and I find nothing offensive about using hitler as an example. Its the fact that someone is, or a group of people are saying that something is not worthy of breeding if it doesnt fit a certain physical standard. Nothing outside of what a certain group says is accepted as far as hair color. It's nothing that even effects the health of the animal (yeah yeah "as far as you know" but there are a billion standard yorkies out there with many devestating genetic faults), but rather what color their hair is.

I believe he said IF they are so concerned then why don't they include them so they can set the standards. Not that he wants them to.

I don't have a problem with you or anyone who wants to breed the off colors i for one DO like the party look in any breed but all i was saying is it isn't the standard like stated above if you seen a red and white Rotty you wouldn't know it was a rotty.

The thing i respect about the Biewers is that they recognize that the color is not a yorkie standard although they came from yorkies they are not called yorkies they don't want to be added as a sub group to the yorkies they want their own name and standard. Why should this be different from the other colors??? if you want to breed them call them Golden Terriers, Chocolate Terriers, Purple People Eaters (LOL) etc???
