| Daisy is precious, Beckham this morning misses her and searches the house everyonce in a while. But he's getting all the attention now as we try to explain where Daisy is. We miss Daisy dearly and I am glad I did what I did. I will call Deb today a few times to see how everything is going. The puppies are in such good hands and Debbie's family is so sweet. Again we cannot thank you enough. I am very greatful for this forum, I do not know what would have happened if I wasn't apart of a wonderful family here online. I pray for the puppies and Daisy, I'm sure Daisy will do great she's a amazing dog with an amazing story. I am happy to see the forum is being updated and if you ever need anything Debbie just give us a call and we'll readily be on our way! I will talk to you around noon as it seems your night was restless. |

| Steve, Deb is doing a wonderful job she and her family are very dedicated... Deb is learning new things and doing very with it...She is needle shy so her husband pitched in sub-q'd the kids which they desperately needed all were very dehydrated. She learned how to prepared homemade sub-q administer it and how to syringe feed with an attached nipple... The pups appear to be getting stronger but still not able to latch on...hoping by this evening they will get enough strength. Mom is preening them and taking great care, she seems to be a great mother. Mom needed a belly shave so the kids could get to the teats better and before every feeding Deb is trying to get them to latch. Each kid is taking about 2 cc's or more each feeding so they are now hydrated and should continue to thrive.... once we see some consistant weight gain and strength enough to latch, Deb will learn how to dock tails

| Here are just a few. It's hard to do because I don't keep them out very long so they don't get chilled. and yes, Kimberly has now told me to put the heating pad UNDER the crate, so it's moved. Phew. deb no pics of orange boy yet. Last edited by Joeysmom; 03-30-2008 at 11:10 AM. Reason: forgot to make a note |

| I don't have much to contribute here, you are all doing so well with this very difficult situation. I know in people, a warm, damp washrag on the breast/nipple area will sometime relax the glands and allow a better milk let-down. A couple days after Coco had her puppies I bathed her lower half and she really liked and relaxed into the warm water spray on her nipples. Good thoughts going your way

Ah Daisy, how we miss her I am glad Daisy is trying to be a good mom, I guess I should've shaved her belly, for some reason groomers around us wouldn't take a pregnant dog in to groom and I thought it would cause too much stress for her. I have clippers at home but am always afraid to shave the dogs.Yeah the hard part was getting them to latch, I would get a few of them to latch but they would not feed for too long. I am happy she is learning new things and Deb's family sure does seem dedicated, I'm sure when your little girl yorkie gets pregnant it will be wonderful. The little pups she has will thrive from your hardwork and dedication. Quote:

| Steve... everyone is doing well. Little purple boy is not as strong as the other two, so I'm feeding him every hour right now. We are watching him to make sure he doesn't dehydrate again. The other two are sucking stronger and stronger, so we will keep trying to latch. No success yet, but we're not quitters! I still need to get better pictures of the puppies. It's hard. It will probably be easier as they get stronger. Warmth is sooo important. And that bedroom is not super bright. I will keep trying on that too... we love pictures, and I def. want a picture diary for memories of this time. I'm actually having fun, even though tired...now that the really stressful part is over. I felt pretty nauseous last night when I realized how dehydrated they were and that we had to (ugh) do the sub-cutaneous thing. BUT...now I know how easy it really is, and if the situation ever arises, i will be braver about it. My family is so wonderful....and supportive of the things I take on. God has sure blessed me in that way...Even my hubby keeps checking in on the puppies....he loves to watch them feed, though he thinks his hands are too big to do it. teehee. Hugs to you and your girl (sorry foggy brained...I can't remember her name) deb |

| Yeah pictures are great, it was so hard to get some of the pups because during the day I was home by myself with the litter. I hope all goes well and I'll keep saying thank you every post! Thank you so much. |
