| I'm not happy with www.sapphirescloset.com I have been more than generous with helping a new YT-er with promoting their business on here (linking it in my signature up until this point) and posting pictures of Missy wearing the many items that I have purchased from Gillian at Sapphire's Closet - Sapphire's Closet Homepage For the most part, I was happy with my purchases. Until the time I purchased 2 pairs of booties that ended up being very poor quality, and a Tutu that was irregularly sized (didn't fit like her x-smls normally do). When I bought the booties, Gillian made it quite clear that I should take them home and have Missy try them in the house so that I could exchange them for something else if they didn't work out. She says this about all of her products. If they are unworn and unwashed, she will exchange. The boots actually had very hard raised creases in the soles which made it uncomfortable for Missy to walk in, and this is the main reason that I wasn't happy with the boots (amongst other reasons). I didn't notice the problem with the soles when I first picked them out because I am always purchasing numerous items at a time when I go to Sapphire's Closet - Sapphire's Closet Homepage I did mention to Gillian (during another visit to purchase clothing) that a pinafore that I bought was way too short on Missy. Missy had already worn it for the day, so I declined her offer to exchange it and just decided to have a friend add an extra piece of material onto the skirt for me. The reason I decided this was because of the awesome deal that Gillian had given me on that pinafore. It was basically half price. Anyways, fast forward to the last 2 days. Missy wore a "Channel" Tshirt the other day, and the gems started falling off after an hour or 2 of having it on. So I emailed Gillian to tell her about it. I paid $20 for the tshirt, I am upset that it only lasted an hour. Then Missy wore her Burberry overalls...again the gem decals started falling off of this article of clothing too! Gillian hadn't responded to my first email, although she ALWAYS responded promptly in the past (like under an hour), so I figured that something was wrong. So I emailed her again. I will attach our correspondance below, and a photo proving that what I say is happening with the tshirt and overalls is true. It seems to me that she thinks that I'm lying and trying to take advantage of her! I may be a bit of a "fussy shopper" but that is because I expect to get what I pay for! If an item is defective, and not what I asked for...I want it made right, and NO I don't expect my money back. I only expect the item that I paid for, and in the condition it's suppose to be in! I guess that I just don't like being taken advantage of There was a time I ordered pj's from Des at go.fetch that had a defect. She repaired them for me, and I was not quite happy with the repair job. She prompty refunded my money even though that's not what I had asked her to do, and I felt bad! Des is an awesome business woman. She gained a customer for life out of me because she totally went out of her way to make me a happy customer and her products ARE good quality. As I said above, this one item just had a defect which Des had never seen before. First Des had tried to fix the problem, when I wasn't happy with the repair job, she gave me a refund that I had never even asked for. After spending over $1000 on YT products since joining in November 2008, this is the only problem that I ever had prior to my recent experience with sappirescloset. I guess that I buy alot of clothes, so I'm bound to get a defect once in awhile. Odds are...

| Continued... Anyways, my correspondance with Gillian at Sapphire's Closet - Sapphire's Closet Homepage and the photo of the products is below. I actually feel bad having to give this lady a poor review. I really liked her as a person, and I enjoyed talking Yorkies with her at her home when I would go there shopping. I also feel badly that she recently lost her boy Yorkie, and I wonder if that's part of what's causing this situation. My 1st Email about the Gems..... "Is it "the norm" to lose the little gem things off of these Chanel T-shirts? Missy's worn hers once and already several of them have fallen off. You can't even tell it says "Chanel" anymore. I haven't even washed it yet (although I need to). I'm disappointed because I really like the fit of this shirt.http://gfx2.hotmail.com/mail/w3/ltr/.../smile_sad.gif How are you all doing lately? Hangin' in there? I see that you got some more new playsuits. http://gfx2.hotmail.com/mail/w3/ltr/...le_regular.gif http://gfx2.hotmail.com/mail/w3/ltr/emoticons/rose.gif Shaunna" My 2nd Email about the Gems, because she didn't respond to the first... "I'm not sure why you didn't respond to my last email. Maybe you're upset with me? Or maybe you didn't receive it...I'm not sure. Anyways, I hope that you aren't upset. I was only trying to make you aware of the problem with the gems falling off the Channel T-shirt. It also happened with Missys Burberry overalls when she wore them the other day. Again, I'm not trying to upset you or sound like a disgruntled customer. It's just something that I thought you'd like to know. I attached my previous email below, just in case you didn't get it the first time." Her response.... "Shauna; I was waiting to hear back from my distributor. I have NEVER had a return on a Chanel T-Shirt and I have sold 38 pieces. My distributor (the one I have NEVER had a return for) says: This embellishment is applied with a heat press under stringent guidelines. The only way these stones could come off they were washed in very hot water. So they will not credit me. I have washed this product many times properly and had no problem. The Burberry line is also applied with a heat press and other than extreme hot washing the stones stay intact. I have washed the girls clothes properly and all stones are in tact after 8 month of wear. You saw a few practice samples applied by me for practice - they were not for my site. - I gave you a great deal on them and explained how to wash them. Shauna you have returned more clothes in the last two months than I have had in my almost year of business and I have strived to give you fantastic deals. I have no more Chanels in stock but they are on order. I will ask you to return the shirt to me BY MAIL and when my order comes in I will mail you one back but then I would like to stop doing business with you. It is stressing me way too much. I am still grieving the loss of my boy and can't deal with all of these unusual things that are only happening to you. I am sorry but I keep trying to make you happy and just can't do it. Please return shirt to Sapphire's Closet 212-145 West 5th St., North Vancouver, BC V7M 1J7 Once again you have really taken advantage of my return policy. www.sapphirescloset.com Pet Clothes for Spoiled Dogs Gillian Bryan" My response...(yes I'm a tad upset) Gillian, I haven't washed either article of clothing yet since I bought them. I wasn't asking you for an exchange, a refund, or anything. This is all just way too weird for me. The problems that I have had with your products were only that I wasn't very pleased with the quality of the booties. I had an in-depth discussion with you about them explaining and showing you in person why I wasn't fond of them. I found a Tutu to be too small as well, you agreed with me that it was too small and it was likely because the fabric didn't have any stretch to it, and it seemed to be cut shorter than they usually are. You offered to do an exchange. You always made it quite clear that if something didn't work out with a purchase, you would be willing to consider exchanges. I've never once asked you for my money back. I have two other similar articles of clothing that this isn't happening to. The Chanel playsuit you gave me is fine, and Missy wore it for the second time today. Also, her Burberry pinafore's heart applique is staying on fine as well, and she's worn that 2 or 3 times now. Don't go acting like I complain about everything and I'm trying to take advantage of you or something when Georgie just died. It's not like that at all. I actually really thought that you seemed like a wonderful person. I speak highly of you to everyone, and I CRIED when I heard about what happened to Georgie. Georgie was my favourite of your three, and I could tell how much he meant to you. I really felt awful for you. I would NEVER EVER take advantage of someone whether their dog died or not. I am an honest person, and I was telling you about the problems that I had with the gems because it's something that YOU SHOULD KNOW! I can not believe that you would say that I'm "taking advantage of your return policy", when the last time I sat in your living room the pink skull tshirt that I wanted to buy had GEMS FALLING OFF OF IT! Right in front you! But now I'm a liar? I am attaching a photo for you to see where on BOTH of these articles of clothing the gems are falling off. I'm not poor. I don't need your handouts. I just placed a $150 dollar order with another YT vendor tonight. You aren't the only person that I buy clothes from. I shop from 5 other YT-ers who all give me amazing deals and offer GREAT quality. I admit that I love alot of your products, but what you just did tonight has proven to me that you aren't an honest business woman. I am telling you about a defect in your product and you're basically saying that I'm lying. Well, here's the proof in the pictures. I won't be returning this tshirt to you or ever promoting or purchasing from your website again. I am very offended at the way you just treated me, not only as a customer, but as a person. I can NOT believe that you say I've returned more things then anyone in your whole 5-6 months of being in business. All that I've EXCHANGED has been 2 pairs of poor quality booties (which you made QUITE clear that I should try on Missy in the house, so that I could bring them back if they didn't work), and an unworn Tutu for a different size. Never once have I acted the "disgruntled customer" part. The couple of issues that have come up with your products I have asked you about in a very kind and friendly matter, just to see what you think. I've never once said "I want you to take this back, or give me my money back". I have spent hundreds of dollars with you, if there is something wrong with one of your products I am going to tell you! I'm sorry that you aren't open-minded enough to want to hear it. I know that *I* would want to know. Shaunna" My last email (because I had forgotten to attach the pic of the damaged clothing)...yes, I'm still pretty upset. "meant to attach this picture where you can see that the gems are starting to fall off both piece of clothing. Don't even THINK of saying that I'm trying to sabotage these products to exchange them for new ones. That is ridiculous. It is obvious that this clothing is unwashed as well. They are still brand new and completely flat. They've never been washed or dried. Would you like me to take pictures of the other clothing that HAS been washed so that I can show you that I am a mature 32 yr old woman and I DO know how to wash clothes without wrecking them? I told you that I put Missy's clothes in a lingerie bag, and wash them on GENTLE in cold water...and hang them to dry. I've always done this with all of her clothes. I'm probably more careful than you are with yours!"

| re: clothing Well I don't really think it is fair that you did a bad review on her. The way I see it is if she actually made the clothes then that would be an issue. When you buy mass produced items from China and buy them from a distributor you pay such low prices you can't expect them to last indefinately. I see those clothes in target and walmart and can't beleive they would even last one wear on a dog. It might be wise for you to purchase clothing from someone who does custom fitting for your pet so that you won't have any issue from the sizing or quality of the clothing. Shop USA! I am not writing this to promote my business so I won't even list my website on here. However I have had customers that send me incorrect measurements and want me to re-make the item. I have done it but I clearly state if you measure incorrectly it is non-refundable. I will re-make an item if there is an issue with quality which I have never had returns. Maybe you should try Chloe Belle or tinkerbells closet. Good luck with your clothing purchases and write it up to experience. When you buy those stone outfits those people say yes it will last forever but it won't. They just press them under a heat press and they can come off the next day. Just be more careful what you purchase future outfits for your babies. Melinda I just read your story. I was saddened by it and just wanted to say that it was great that you gave her such a loving home in her short life. It is always sad when they get sick and you feel helpless. Anyway, she was a cutie pie and I know she had to be spoiled by her human mommy with a face like that. I hope you have found another baby to fill your void. Give another baby a chance to have the love that Shelby lived with for 7 months. There are so many little babies out there that need their loving forever homes and Shelby would want you to love again |

| I'm sorry you are going through this. I feel for both of you in this situation. I'm sure your feelings are very hurt by her request of not continuing business with you and I'm sure it was very hard for her to say this to you as well. However I don't think it was inappropriate for her to request not doing business with you any longer. I don't mean this is a mean way at all. I just think that if a seller knows they can not provide a customer with what they need, it is beneficial to both of you that she tell you this. | hmmm i am kind of surprised at the responses to this thread shaunna did not say anything bad about the seller. she was just unhappy about this particular experience. i understand it is any sellers right to refuse service to any customer (just as it is every customers right to purchase or not purchase from any seller) but i do think shaunna was expecting anything extraordinary. i would be VERY unhappy if my clothes started to fall apart after the 1st wear too. and it did not seem like she was being a problem customer in any way. perhaps the seller is just going through a hard time due to the loss of her furbaby and is not thinking the way she normally does. i know during times of grief it is hard thinking logically and level headedly because your emotions are all over the place. in any event, i hope this situation is resolved

| That's really crappy that things aren't going well. But I have to say it drives me INSANE when someone posts a not-so-nice review about a selling and people JUMP on that person- that IS what this forum is for... to give reviews- good and bad- now if there was miscommunication- that's one thing- but it seems that you have had legitimate concerns about the clothing you have ordered and i think you are right to expect nothing but top quality from this vendor when you are spending a good chunk on money on these items. That isn't asking too much at all- MANY vendors on YT give nothing but 100% and if something doesnt' fit or breaks- will take it back NO problem! I say- good for you- for stating what YOUR experience was like with this vendor. Consumers have the right to know what they may or may not be buying. |

| I think that "YorkieCloset" Gillian is just having a hard time right now because of Georgie's passing. He really was a little gem. I sympathize with the seller and her situation right now. That is why I am not going to bother her with the stress of exchanging the Chanel T-shirt, even though she offered. She didn't bother acknowledging the defective overalls so that's not even an option. I dunno, I have several items with gem appliques on them, and I've never had this problem before. I will just consider it a lesson learned. There are many good quality YT vendors to choose from. Thanks to those who have supported me in sharing my review. I apologize to those who feel it was unnecessary. I'm not trying to hurt anyone, just sharing my experience, which is what I thought this board was intended for. If it's not, I'm sure the mods will delete my thread.

| I'm not sure why you weren't happy? The distributor made the clothing she sold and even though they refused to refund her she still said she'd exchange the clothing for the same when they came in. Yes, she did say that she'd prefer not to do business with you again because of so many exchanges or issues you've had with her merchandise, but apparantly she had taken care of the issues that arose right? So what is the issue with her? I'm not getting it. Elaine |

I do feel for her loss and I am sure she is stressed out. I don't think there was a need to tell her customers to stop doing business wit her. I mean isn't selling on YT by word of mouth? I know I have bought stuff because it had such a great review on it. The first time I bought Yorkie Yummies by chattiesmom I had ordered I think the smaller one to get a toy but I misunderstood the thread because it had said big bag to get a toy. Then Cindy had pmed me saying it does not comes with a toy but I was going to get the YY anyway but she had offered me a refund right away. I was so pleased with her customer satisfaction. She puts the customers first and does everything within her reach to make every customer satisfied. When I see her products I always want to buy them now hehe. I am sorry this has happened. Thank you for telling us your feedback. That is what this thread is for.
